Yeah, let's not enable some TOTL by acknowledging the overwhelming anti-dem bias of the MSM. It's just a coincidence!
as chance would have it Dan Pfeiffer went on a rant about DC media and politico on PSA today. tldr; they have been irrelevant for years and they are mad Kamala did some podcasts and local media and 60mins
1. This is the tweet thread. For me, this thread is a buffet of appetizers without a main course in sight. If I intend to “invoke” something I either add text here, or most likely post it elsewhere. 2. Every Sunday our minister at some point says, may the Lord be with you. And then everyone responds, and also with you, without even looking down at the hymnal. That’s not a conspiracy. That’s a conditioned response. (This is me actually implying something.)
So let me give you a bit of a scouting report on our governor. He’s a normie’s normie. He ain’t Tim Walz, a normie with an underlying persona and viewpoint and backstory that has a higher resonance with voters. He’s like unsoicy grits. So I think it matters that he’s calling out Twitter here. It’s a little bit of data that Dems may actually be ready to push back in media/information spaces. It makes me 1% more hopeful that a reckoning with Musk, and with the corporate types who are risk averse and are afraid of a MAGA backlash but not a Dem one, and legacy news orgs, all that is coming. As we continue our unprecedented response to Hurricane Helene, the nation is beginning to understand that impacted areas have been the target of a relentless vortex of disinformation, dialed up by bad actors and platforms like X. 🧵— Governor Roy Cooper (@NC_Governor) October 6, 2024

The margin in their national poll yesterday was also within 0.6% of the polling average. Ironically, this makes them *look* more on top of things than if they'd had a few outliers, or even polls that don't quite line up neatly with each other; makes you see the point of herding.— Taniel (@Taniel) October 7, 2024
The self regard in this second paragraph is off the friggin’ charts. I’m pretty confident her team doesn’t care what you ********heads write. We see your desperate assertions of relevance. the actual copy manages to be even more frivolous, catty and equine pic.twitter.com/UxYfSWY2w3— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) October 7, 2024
"Interviews on traditional platforms like CNN and MSNBC reach almost no persuadable voters. They are internal conversations among political junkies who made their decision years ago. This is reality; and too many in the Beltway media are unwilling to grasp it." -@danpfeiffer…— Eric Schultz (@EricSchultz) October 7, 2024
This is complete trash from @WeAreSinclair. Every word about this failed/compromised rescue efforts is a lie but this right wing extremist company is blasting it out on local tv stations across the country. You may have seen that Chevron is sponsoring articles about Hurricane Helene. But do you know why?Because they're trying to convince people they're solving climate change BY DRILLING DEEPER INTO THE OCEAN FLOOR THAN EVER BEFOREhttps://t.co/K8dHsCX6nc— Emily Atkin (@emorwee) October 4, 2024

When journos collectively agree that Trump can’t be expected to tell the truth, that gives him a big advantage. 1843299085442560027 is not a valid tweet id
I keep thing about how a *major* US newspaper, the New York Post, printed a giant, destructive, easily disprovable lie on its front pageThey have a *right* to print lies but there should be consequences. Ban them from the Pulitzers, etc. Kick them out of industry groups pic.twitter.com/5Rl14eixvY— Will Bunch @willbunch.bsky.social (@Will_Bunch) October 6, 2024
DC media has always been a tad problematic. FDR went around them and then censored them when WW2 was going on. LBJ just didn't talk to them, Truman chased them out, Carter literally asked them what the hell was wrong with them It also didn't help that they closed ranks when Obama wouldn't answer questions from Fox. I am also of the opinion that a lot of journalists want to be Woodward and Bernstein, especially the older ones. I at least got into the field because of a girl (And I was good at research and writing).
Every now and then, I think I could easily jump into the conservative writing field, make a few bucks, and call it but I couldn't live with myself.
