Seema like a good question for our electorate to consider when deciding how to vote in November. Maybe balanced against the price of gas or feelings about some old folks.

 

I need to bring up again that Reagan had a study that mentioned Reagan supporters scoring high on authoritarianism while scoring low on egalitarianism. It also mentioned ethnic Eastern European neighborhoods in large cities (Detroit, Chicago for instance) tended to score high on the former (Being of Eastern European descent, this isn't a surprise).

Reagan did make a lot of visits to those areas by the way.
