The cynicism of Lindsey Graham admonishing Democrats that they "should follow the Republican model" when it comes to the Andrew Cuomo harassment allegations is breathtaking pic.twitter.com/EuzxTQMGfo— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) March 2, 2021
In that district? I dunno. If the IL GQP came up with a competent candidate and a somewhat sane platform, maybe. He's only been below 60% in the general once since 2012. But the IL GQP are the incompetent @$$holes who let Mike Madigan and Blago and a laundry list of other corrupt turds run roughshod over them for the past decade or more. Now, by no means am I a GQP voter. But as a resident of IL, I just want those fvkcsticks to get their collective heads and asses wired together. And hopefully, Kinzinger could be a less toxic alternative to the trumpist GQP here. Ya know, kinda in the way a bee sting is better than a hornet's sting.

It's getting tiresome to repeat this, but Republicans don't get to unilaterally define what counts as a failure to reach out to them. No one should pretend any of these claims are being made in good faith. They aren't. https://t.co/8F4oHoHFw0— Greg Sargent (@GregTSargent) March 2, 2021

Nazi stage design Exclusive: Design Foundry, a Maryland-based design firm, has taken responsibility for the design of the CPAC stage that resembled a Nazi insignia. The firm says it ‘had no idea’ that the stage resembled a Nazi symbol https://t.co/wvtNUBruLm— Jacob N. "...and on the right, we have a vintage Hugo Boss off-the-shoulder evening gown. On the left w- <crash> oops... Uh, I... I think they're both gonna be okay... Next, we have a 14-hole pair of boots, with red laces..."

I didn't know that was a nazi symbol, either - I learned it here. But it's hard to imagine someone came up with that weird shape as a good design for social distancing or any other reason.
It's a strange one. I get the argument that a small, liberal owned events company which has multiple corporate clients isn't in the business of nazi event design - it could torch the business. But we still haven't see the ticktock on how this happened. Did an employee do this as a joke or wink? Did they just lift the design as an influence without realising the context? (Graphic designers do this crap all the time) What role did Schlapp and co have in the design process? I accept that the event company itself, at management level, is unlikely to have knowingly done this, but it is a bit hard to believe this is all a coincidence
We know how Iowans feel about their breakfast pizza, but have you considered Froot Loops on pizza? Well, now's the time to consider it, as the Forest Ave. location in Des Moines of Fong's Pizza has added it to their menu. https://t.co/oCWfy3VhSb pic.twitter.com/PepQHm06M2— Des Moines Register (@DMRegister) February 26, 2021
Turns out Bari Weiss is just another grifter - shocking!! “Enough with dividing,” I type as I pretend a publisher’s decision not to put out new copies of a few titles on its back catalog means they’ve been “banned” by evil leftists.— Kevin M. Kruse (@KevinMKruse) March 3, 2021
I don't want to alarm anyone, but a private company is making commercial decisions about which of its IP assets to publish and sell in the free market Fascism! Quite a sentence here:https://t.co/2nIL4hTF9V pic.twitter.com/dZ6dUj5Eco— Ross Douthat (@DouthatNYT) March 2, 2021
To dovetail both of these IPs, who is going to be the first conservative firebrand to whinge about why Disney's "Song of the South" not available on any Disney-related platform? Or who is dumb enough to offer that comparison? My money is on Laura Ingram
Even if you have no idea what kind of rune it is and what its history is, the stage is still half a swastika mirrored (which is why that particular form of the rune is still in use by modern nazis, who use all sorts of derivations of the swastika). There is no way a designer can't see that.
If Beverly Cleary has done anything like this, I'm honestly not sure I want to know about it. And I don't say that very often. It would cast a cloud over a lot of my childhood reading.

Lost of pissed off folks about this steep cutoff for stimmy checks. I can’t say I disagree…. Is there really nothing to negotiate with Fenistein Manchin and Sinema for filibuster reform?!
