In SJ for two weeks, where can I catch soccer in a bar?

I'm staying in Freemont for an MCSE bootcamp. No car. Is there anything in the area that's a reasonable cab ride where I could catch some EPL or European games and have breakfast this weekend?

I'm not sure about Fremont. It's not much of an entertainment town. Britannia Arms in Downtown San Jose will have EPL and MLS matches, but it'll cost you $20 taxi ride to get there. They haven't completed the light-rail system that would get you down to SJ for a lot cheaper.

Isn't Freemont the center of the Bay Area Afghan community? Is there an Afghan soccer pub?

The Afganis that live there don't strike me as soccer fans, mostly computer geek types.

FYI, "Afghani" is the money; "Afghan" is the people.
(Pardon my spelling if I mucked it up)
