Did Balchan forget he is playing CB today?

Our plan to replace JJ seems to be the Swiss cheese defense.

    1-0 Green Sigis

    Lineup:

    GK: Hesmer
    D: Miranda, Blachan, Marshall, Garnder
    M: Duka, Ekpo, Burns, Rogers
    F: Renteria, Mendoza

Bench: Riggs; O'Rourke, Gehrig; Anor, Meram; Jeff, Heinemann.
    =======================

Early soft goal. Miranda awol on throw, Balchan left 1 v 1 to track down Neagle, no help. And Hesmer gives up a soft one. Not a howler, but soft. Low shot, didn't get much off it, and it spins in.

Bummer. Neagle is replacing their best player (Fernandez) and scores.

He was not to blame on the goal at all. Miranda just stood there and watched Neagle run right by him after the throw in.

There is no way he's an elite MLS keeper. Average at best.

So he had no responsibility with Marshall more than ten yards away from him?

To say that this has not been good would be a tremendous understatement.

Yep. He was marking the guy who received the throw in (like he was suppose to) and Neagle made an off the ball run after throwing it in. Miranda was defending the throw in and should have stayed with him.

    Poor PK call.

If the ball hadn't hit his hand, it would have hit his chest.

2-0. And this one is over.

I think you need to pull Balchan right now.

What it would have hit, had it not hit his hands, is totally irrelevant. Balchan was trying to push Fucito and ended up pushing the ball. It's totally unlucky, but it's a handling offense.

What an awful call. His hand is on his chest and he gets hit due to a bad bounce.

Miranda (brain fart) and Hesmer (terrible play) are the main culprits on that goal. Not Balchan.

Dumb play by Renteria right there. Take the corner or pull it back.

For who? That's just a stupid comment...

Let me guess. Balchan should have been marking inthe third too? Right?

O'Rourke would have been 100x a better option then Balchan today.

Not even funny anymore. Of we can't win west of the Mississippi, we will never be a great team. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Any chance we can get them to postpone (replay) the game due to the hurricane?

Well, we either suck on turf, or just can't run with the big boys.

    3-0 Sounders.

Miranda is having a really bad game. He decided not to mark anyone, and got burned there.

For as bad as Balchan is, Hesmer has been ever worse. I've seen youth GKs play that ball better.
