I just checked MLSnet scoreboard Revs up 3-0 at halftime Normally I wouldn't even care, but after all the gloating by the whiny bisnatches that call themselves Lovers of Scum when Dallas ended our season, I certainly became more interested. GO REVS!!!! EF THE METROSCUM!!!
I just did the exact same thing. This is great. I care a lot because if our team won't be in it, and we had to listen to the scum's stick, then I'll be ready to give it right back to them. Anyone know the specific math the Metro need if they lose tonight to get in? I believe it involves a Columbus win over Chicago. Go Revs!!!!! beat the SCUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the result holds, Chicago just needs a draw to knock the PATHStars out. 60th min: still 3-0 Revs Dave
Well, its 89th minute and still 3-0 to the Revs. So they've sealed the deal. And the metrocraps are very close to being out. If Chicago ties tomorrow or if Chicago wins. I stand corrected. So we should pull for Chicago. Go Fire!!!!!!!!!!
Now, New England are in with 38 points and its between the Metroscum and the Fire for the final spot.
FINAL Score is now final. Revs 3-0 Scum of the Earth Metros continue their late season collapse...hee hee hee. At least we finished on a somewhat more positive note. Although, I must admit, it sucks sinking to the level of our most hated rivals and having to resort to gloating over their failures, and not really having anything to brag about. Go Chicago!!!
What the Hell am I saying?? We kicked their donkey a$$e$ this season. We are the holders of the "unwanted by Metro fans" Atlantic Cup!!! We beat them 3 games to 1. We sent them on their downward spiral!! DC UNITED !! !! !!
Actually, I was halfway rooting for the Metrostars so that I could console myself that it didn't matter whether we won the other night or not.
What a pathetic performance by the mutts after Harris scored the 2nd against the run of play. There was no urgency in their game at all. Ziadie played well, Lisi started, but played disinterested. Props to Zambrano for subbing-in Balboa in the 85th. Boo to OZ for not subbing-out Ramos so the Revs fans could express their thoughts on his retirement. Memo to Ray: that TT sure is an opportunistic player. Life is good with that Rev win. C'mon Chicago. GM
I got to watch this game, and I gotta say, it was fun to watch the Mutts implode. They had no urgency at all, and by halftime, they had given up. You could see it in their eyes. If not for a few lucky saves by Grafer and some poor shooting by the Revs, the game could have easily been 7- or 8-0. By about the 60th minute, J.P. and Shep were discussing how the team would be revamped in the offseason.
Unfortunately, I don't have the Shootout Package, but anytime the Scum lose, is second best, only behind a DC win.
Lisi started and had a crap game, apparently. Seems like it was a pretty good trade, after all. At least Villegas contributed occasionally... Dave
I'm happy about the result. I wouldn't mind seeing the Revs win the whole thing in Gillette. That would do wonders for the attendance and probably springboard attendance in a very loyal market. And, what a great turnaround story that would be after the Clavijo purge. I'm really pulling for Chicago though, because I am a big fan of the Fire. The fact that the Metros would miss the playoffs is just a bonus I guess, as we'll likely hear less smack talked. There is one thing that is quite disturbing. I do NOT want to see Dave Sarachan coaching the Metros next season. That would really pizz me off, particularly when he hands us our azzez. I'm guessing that the Metros will draft Diego Walsh to fill in their midfield hole. -Tron
