didnt see this coming... "Fortune magazine says Imus has hired a top First Amendment attorney, because, according to a source who has read Imus' contract with CBS, the pact encouraged the shock-jock to be irreverent and make character attacks." http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/05/03/national/main2757139.shtml?source=110667
Good for him - he should not have to take a bullet for an entire sector of the industry. Let's shine a little daylight on the corporate structures that encourage this stuff. That said? I'm kinda pissed this is coming up again because I think Imus is atrociously dull, passe, outdated, unfunny, and lame, lame, lame.
Hmmm. Where's my last post in the original Imus thread... Ah, here it is. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11232970&postcount=294
He should be hiring a "top contract attorney/commercial litigator" as opposed to a "top First Amendment attorney" because last time I checked.....CBS isn't an arm of the government.
