I agree...there's a time to shut up and walk away...Beckham has the same problem the other "stupid" element is that Gordon was red carded for retaliating last season in the Rapids game.... he needs to learn the lesson, gain self control and not react the same or at least recognize that its likely he'll be leaving the field.
Growing up my coaches always drilled it into us not to retaliate because it was always the second push (retaliation) that catches the ref's eye and gets the call. You gotta have a really thick skin and a very cool head to succeed in sports.
Completely agree. My point was about the first card being idiotic, although I agree with the point about being professional as well and keeping retaliation in check---ESPECIALLY knowing you already have a yellow.
