Yeah, that would be a very disappointing outcome. Not MLS-disappointing, but disappointing nonetheless.

Personally I would love if both went to Hamburg. But logically it’s be a waste for both of them. Hopefully chucky goes to the premier or la Liga.

WTF is it the MMLS all of a sudden trying to buy our young players?

Then again goes to show how little ambition our players have if they choose MLS over Europe

I don't like it either, however it's a job and you got to make as much money as you can for your family. If the difference isn't substantial then yes you take the risk to Europe, however if you are being offered much more to go to mls, I see why they choose that route. You would do same man. Go to a small tech company making 500k or go to apple and make 100k, what would you choose? Now if Apple was only 50k less, then yes, you go apple.

Also this pandemic can potentially impact the players decision making when it comes to going to a better league/team or take the highest paying offer, they say europe knows more about the mls than ligamx, he will have more exposure and less pressure.

I would agree that leagues like Germany, England and then lower leagues like Denmark, Ireland, etc are probably looking more at MLS but leagues like Spain and Portugal I think look more at liga MX. But who knows

MLS is an attractive option to buy from because most of their young players are low risk. They cost 500k, are pretty fit already, and a decent little chunk of them have euro passports.

Blaming players for going to the MLS is kind of pathetic IMO. We keep talking in vague platitudes of Mexicans needing a better mentality, etc. Which might be true to a degree but would be a moot point if we were even producing the number of good players a country like MX should be producing.

And if a good chunk of the ones we produce weren't so expensive to make them unappealing to the Euro market.

Other Mexican players should hire Salcedos agent, he has teams from France and Italy looking for him, reportedly. He came back from Europe last year and now is getting offers from Euro teams because they know he will force the move. This proves that Euro teams want Mexican players what they don't like is negotiating with Mex teams because Mexican teams don't need to sell. Players in Mexico need release clauses like they have in Spain so that if teams meet the price they can take the player.

I think they do have clauses in terms of price, but they are set too high for teams to pay it

Salcedo clearly belongs in Europe. Didn’t flop w/ Eintracht & Fiorentina. In boxing styles make fights, here similar minus the “violence”

Chucky should leave the Serie A, and head to the EPL to a team like Newcastle United, Everton or Wolverhampton. Mexicans in general should avoid the Serie A.

Why? The sample size thus far isn't large enough to give such a definitive statement.

If numerous players from South American countries have proven that it's a good stepping stone in Europe, why can't Mexicans do the same?
