If true then the question becomes will Cruz Azul sell him and for how much?

He’s old enough to understand that the media and fans will be unreasonable. Also regardless of age if you’re playing you’re expected to produce.

  12. Feyenoord is said to have put on the table an offer of 1 million€ plus 50% of future transfersum paid for him, but the club refused it.

I would say 1M is way too low.

  15. Depends on how good he is and as such how high the future transfer sum will be.
Dunno for what numbers most of the time yet unproven (on the European stage that is) Mexican players are sold.
Let's say that's 4 million, without a claim on future tranfer gains.
If he turns out to be a success and sells on for 30 million, the club did pass on 12 million.

1 million way too low for Cruz Azul to end up with a forward duo of a Chilean who hasn’t scored in over a year and a Uruguayan guy who hasn’t scored 20 goals lol

my understanding is that Feyenoord want him right now and I extremely doubt that Cruz Azul will let him even if they do offer what CA want because if Santi leaves during the Summer, our forward options are looking yikes

they’re going to want to keep him until after Qatar

Yeah so from what I read, their first option is 23 year old argie Castellanos from NYCFC, but city group want more than 15 million

and I’m guessing the real value for Giménez would be the 50% of future transfer, and still should be more like 3 million. But yeah he’s too important for Cruz azul right now, I hope it happens tho

True but a NT player in WC year. You wait and sell after WC, 1M isn't worth to sell now even with future transfer which they probably will keep some if they sell later anyways

3-4 million plus future transfer gains would be fair.

I don’t see that happening but good to know there’s some interest.

  20. Well, let's wait and see what happens and how resourceful/imaginative the parties will be.
Maybe Feyenoord should offer a Young Feyenoord striker on loan for free for a year.:)

Not sure why this was posted. Sure the guy was born in Mexico but he plays for the Peru NT so he is irrelevant.

Apparently the offer was closer to $5 million over a three-year time period for 50% of his rights, which is about what Cruz Azul want but they want the money now

Can’t even criticize Cruz Azul. Even with the additional payments, 1 million up front is way too low. Imagine Feyenoord going to South America and trying this 1 million up front with additional installments strategy. Wouldn’t even get a reply back.

  25. Uhm, no. We got "some" debts to American money launderers, sorry...money lenders Morgan stanley something for researching the market for investors in our now not to be built anymore stadium. We owe them about 30-40 million for nothing.
We had shit to spend and we have shit to spend.
