Due to a combination of increased matchday costs and non-payers for tickets, we regretfully announce that, for the rest of the 2007/08 season, ArsenalAmerica will have to increase the service charge for tickets. This is to recoup monies lost by ArseAm and to enable us to continue to provide the service we do today. This is a last resort by us, but sadly there is a lot of money to make up and this was not done without careful consideration and evaluation of all avenues available to Arsenal America.

Following this, the cost to members for tickets are as follows:

    35GBP we will charge 45GBP
    42GBP we will charge 52GBP
    46GBP we will charge 56GBP
    50GBP we will charge 60GBP
    60GBP we wll charge 70GBP
    66GBP we will charge 76GBP
    70GBP we will charge 80GBP

These prices will come into effect from the next Premier League match. Payment PM's have been sent out for most matches between now and April, so if you have already paid for your ticket you will recieve a PM soon requesting that this is "topped up" with the extra supplement fee. Again, we are sorry to have to do this but it is something that needs to be done.

If you have any further questions regarding this new policy please PM aa tickets and we will answer your query as soon as possible.

    Thanks

I think it's beyond fair. Arsenal America has been screwed over way too many times by non-paying "members" over the last several years.

I still think there should be some sort of pre-payment that's refunded in the event of tickets not being available.

    Kudos, Aaron.

It's only fair. I have only been to 2 matches so far but I can see from the two matches that Aaron and Rick where chasing down memebers who did not show.

It sucks that AA has to resort to this, but the work that gets put into securing tickets for AA members (time/money), is extreme, and then you have no shows/non-payers to deal with... this seems more than fair. And thanks to all involved for their hard work. I had the good fortune to be able to watch a couple games at Highbury, and I am grateful for the oppurtunity. If that means paying an additional 10 GBP the next time I get to a match, it's well worth it.

i hate people who are no shows

maybe there is a way to have two tiered pricing for membership to AA? Like if you are going to be going over for a match you have to pay more in dues, then the extra money could help defray the cost of the no shows.

The service fees aren't a problem. But i still believe they should be collected when tickets are requested or confirmed. I hate to see no shows getting off scott free, they should at least have to forfeit something for screwing us over.

F*cken hell! An extra 10 dollars? At this rate im never gonna see a game. F*ck i need a better paying job!

Why no prepay system? 20% with your request for tickets. No 20% then you request gets ignored completely.

F*cken weak sauce no shows and scammers! Wheres a bounty hunter when you need one?

I agree that this is fair, given the circumstances. I know I'd happily pay a little extra to make up for the retards if I go see a match (and I might be able to in another couple of months!).

I also agree that at LEAST a partial pre-payment should be required for everyone. Again, personally, I'd happily pay for the tickets at the same time I request them. The only way I wouldn't use the tickets then is if... oh, yeah: if *I* fcked up.

And oddly enough, I was about to ask if you and Rick could, like, slip me the names & addresses of those who stiffed you on tickets? You know, just let me do my Jack Bauer thing? Pleeeease? :D

I don't think that AA will get any argument from those of us who actually pay when asked and attend the games like we said we would, but we're also the people who would likely gladly prepay if asked. If it saves us a few dollars and AA the hassle of tracking down nonpaying fools, prepayment seems like the way to go. Then again, I don't know if that adds any administrative/bookkeeping hassles. Either way, we really appreciate the hard work that everyone puts in -- charge whatever you think is fair. See you in April.

I could have just said..."see all of the above" instead of using quotes in this post.
However..the above posts emphasize what I would have like to have said.
As a newbie to AA tickets, I would like to second any motion for pre payment of tickets at the time of requesting. If one is not able to get to the game..so be it.
To pay in advance for any ticket request is not a burden.........it's a privilege.

I hope the new service charge will go towards paying Dog the Bounty Hunter to find the no shows and take them down. ;)

Why not at least start a thread called: "People that didnt pay and left us sitting with tickets" And list the names/dates of said people. It wont get the money back but at least will publicly ridicule the stiffers.
