dave gahan is a ROCK GOD. Songs of Faith and Devotion is very good, Ultra was pretty good, and exciter was decent. They still put on the best live show I've ever seen.
They certainly attract quite a fun crowd for their performances. I remember always seeing a disproportionate amount of acid at their shows
best live shows I've ever seen have always been, low end on the theatrics...like Primus for example back in 1993 and 1994, that was a show... or Sugar around 1994. Tremendous stage presence, not much fancy going on...just mezmorizing.
