What a race in Serie A, just 2 points separating first from sixth.

It's not been a good week for David Coote - now there is a video of him sniffing white powder at the European Championship.

Well now. Let's see if Pep can turn this round because City are in a crisis. Yes they'd lost four consecutive matches but to lose by four goals to our bang average team is a disaster.

    Ridiculous but not surprising.

Elsewhere, Amorim out, bring back Ten Hag!

Hardly given a chance was he? But that's modern football. Any indication as to his replacement?

They missed the chance for a Ranieri reunion.

Most likely scenario: they hire an unknown manager from Spain, Italy or Portugal with an unpronounceable name who charms the journos with some quirky quotes, they get a bounce and the pundits start saying it won't be long before he is managing a top side, they then go on a bad run and he gets sacked, in comes one of Big Sam, David Moyes or Tony Pulis to save them from relegation with 2 games to spare, they then sack the manager in the summer because the football was too boring, hire a bright attacking manager, and then sack him when they get off too a terrible start in 25-26.

Typical Eddie Howe. I noticed before that he starts well but his teams fade after a year or two. So much for Newcastle being bigged up when their new billionaire owners arrived. I thought then that Howe was the wrong man and they'd never be successful under him and there's no way
he will turn this round. Goodbye Eddie, the PL is too big for you so go down a league or two.

Man City blow a 3-0 lead at home against Feyenoord and settle for a 3-3. Clearly COYID-19 is at an advanced stage.

City were a bit fortunate what with a penalty and a deflection so only one goal in real open play. Their problems persist.

That’s crazy. I took a look at the scores around 60 minutes and they were up 3-0, figured it was normal service resumed. Puts Sunday in perspective.

I do not understand this new Champion’s League format at all.

My understanding of the format (which is the same for the Europa League) is that each team plays 8 games and the top 8 go directly to the round of 16, are seeded for the draw, and play the second leg at home.

Teams 9-24 play two-legged ties with teams 9-16 seeded in the draw and playing the second leg at home.

Teams 25-36 are out of Europe altogether.

The Conference League is the same except they only play 6 games in the league phase.

    Easy-peasy, right?

Ruud van Nistelrooy becomes Leicester manager. Could be a great appointment.

He should have waited, I think there might be a better opportunity in North London...

Could be. Further down the league, Frank Lampard took over at Coventry, which could be disastrous.

40 minutes into West Ham Vs Arsenal and there's been 6 goals already.
    WH 2 - 4 Arsenal.

Arsenal were 0-4 up after 35 mins

Big day for GK Josh Keeley, on loan to Leyton Orient. He scored in the 10th minute of stoppage time to send the game into extra time, and also made 3 saves. Orient scored in the 120th minute to advance over Oldham in the FA Cup.

Proper header that, he's now level on goals with Richarlison.

Liverpool go nine clear with an impressive 2-0 win over Man City. God we missed a trick when Levy didn't nail down Arne Slot when he had the chance.
