With Newcastle a man down for the entire second half. That's five points from 18 games, then. Billy the Pig must be on top of the world.
Based on McGoldrick making a meal of that tackle, you'd have thought Fraser cut poor McGoldrick's legs off. https://www.flashscore.com/match/U7j1NCHC/#video
The Manchester Club’s mid-season revival are inevitable for blue and mind boggling for red. You always knew Pep’s team wasn’t as bad as their table position, but United … I just don’t know.
United can be good one day and shite the next while City's form is ominous. This is the kind of season where a run like Chelsea's 13 wins in a row (2016-17), which we broke up btw, will be decisive and City have the team to do it.
Real Madrid knocked out of the Copa del Rey by 3rd tier side Alcoyano 2-1 AET - and the semi-pro side scored the winner when they were down to 10 men after a sending off! The magic of the cup and all that...
Burnley are mostly shite, but every so often, they have this uncanny ability to play this kind of backs against the wall game against the top sides. It's looking more and more like City's title to lose...
Everton hosting Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup 4th round from 3pm eastern. This match will be on ESPN+. The significance of this match to us is that its winner will host us in the 5th round should we get past Wycombe Wanderers in our 4th round match tomorrow evening (afternoon to us in the US). Two wonderful old traditional big English clubs, both of whom play in wonderful old traditional big English grounds. Either way, the 5th round would be a brilliant away day, if only fans could attend football matches these days - and, of course, should we get past Wycombe (which shall not be presumed). I love the FA Cup, me, and not just when it comes to the semis and final. I will savor this one and will do again tomorrow. COME ON WEDNESDAY! UTO! FTB!
Wednesday down 1-0 at the half, but haven't looked too bad. They'be been fairly composed on the ball and created a bit for themselves, Reach, Bannon, and Harris all having their moments. Everton have had a little too much space in Wednesday's final third, and it could be worse; but they'll know they've not yet done enough to put it to bed. You've got to think that a second, though, will be enough to do just that.
Two quick goals around the hour mark have put it to bed. 3-0 with quite a ways to go yet. It'll be Everton in the 5th round.
Chelsea sacks Frank. Thomas Tuchel maybe the replacement. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...dont-care-identity-sacking-Frank-Lampard.html
And it almost went unnoticed that the Arsenal got dumped out of the competition by Southampton. Why on earth was Mikel Arteta resting a lot of his regulars? Does he think they're back in the title race?
West Brom 0, Man City 5 City look unstoppable. After our brief flirtation with the title race, it is time to focus on getting back into the CL.
Even Pook must be delighted by this result: Man United 1, Sheffield United 2 Not a bad night for us, Villa lose, Chelsea draw and Everton draw 1-1 vs Leicester.
Yeah, without question. I saw that result on my phone and I will concede having been pleased. Lots of well-dropped points today. The Pigs are going down, regardless.
It’s an odd season, but you’d have to say on balance whomever doesn’t win tomorrow is likely out of the title race.
Based on the last month, or so, I'd say that if you're not Manchester City, you're already out of the race. The table may not show it yet, but it will soon enough.
