Congrats to you and your family!

My wife likes both Landon and Donovan. Shes 35 weeks pregnant right now and thought she was going into labor after the goal... turns out her water didn't break, it was just half of the bars beer down her shirt.

We're having a girl and she's agreed to Josie/Jozy depending on the outcome of the next few days. Though we'll be going to see KC v Manchester United and she's already agreed to name her Chelsea if she goes into labor at that one...

    well i have no children..

but if i had a boy, i would give him a nice German name...maybe Jürgen:)
Franz (Kaiser)...or Michael... or definitely a nice German name...
    but who knows what happens...:)....

with LANDON name i would get troubles in Munich or Leverkusen:)

and if the father of my boy would be an American and would ask me for LANDON as the name of the baby, i would say: no the baby would be a fan of German soccer, have a German name.....hm...i will see what an American man would do...if he likes me..he would give up...so far about promotion of German soccer in the USA..

If you truly loved Landon, you'd name one of your cats after him.

If the USA wins the world cup (here through the future), I will name my first born after the goal scorer(s)

great story. I think I will just call my kids (girls 15 and 10, and a boy, 7)Landon from now on out. they never seem to listen to me when I call their names anyhow, so I may as get some self-satifaction out of it!

Donovan is the US hero. Donovan is our Maradona:cool: I wouldn't give one of my kids his name but I have alot of respect for him.

I can see it now, your starting lineup for the USA's first match of the 2034
    World Cup.

    Keeper - Tim Howard Jr.
    Defender - Landon Mitchell
    Defender - Landon Thompson
    Defender - Landon Gonzalez
    Defender - Landon Carrasco
    Midfielder - Landon Donovan Jr.
    Midfielder - Landon Smith
    Midfielder - Landoninho
    Midfielder - Landon Abdullah
    Forward - Landon King
    Forward - Landon London

Yea, we're still playing the empty bucket in 2034 :D

WE named our first(now 3) after Kasey Keller. WE liked Landon except my last name begins with an L and it didn't work great. Our second was going to have Dempsey as a midlle name but it didn't sound great so we made it work with his initials of GOL

Our little guy came in at 9:55 am M.T, right during the game on 6/18. He'll never live that one down. I tried to convince the wife to name him LD, but she wouldn't go for it. I was able to get this on him before we left the Hospital. I only had time to grab my 02 jersey. Future Striker!

Landon Everett Green at his first game(houston vs. galaxy) with his mother Elizabeth Cedillo-Green(from Mexico). She wanted his middle name to be Cualthemoc, but I won.[IMG] I actually made the poor little guy cry after the goal with all the ado, but I'll be able to tell him down the road he was on my lap with the "safari savior" his namesake, really came through.
