I'm creating a MLS commercial for my senior capstone project at CSUMB. I would very much appreciate any assistance I can get. I'm interested in obtaining stock footage of mls games; commercials and also of any possible contacts that would allow me to shoot my own footage at a game. First, tell me what the MB stands for. I got the Cal State Univ. part. And, yes, I'm too lazy to look it up for myself.
Have you tried contacting MLS about this? If it truly is a not-for-profit project then I would think they would help you get access to MLS footage. It would be like having an unpaid intern create commercials for them. Maybe in exchange for footage you can offer to let them use the commercial for free. MLS gets a free commercial and you get something to put on a resume.
I have an extra copy of the "Golazo!" highlight video they gave out on Hispanic Heritage Day. It's runs about 5 minutes. If you want it it, PM your address and I'll drop it in the mail Monday.
