Nope. You know the rules. You know the procedure. It's really not something to be nervous about. You can do it. Just go out there, let them know that you're the ref (don't say newbie), and let them play. It's as simple as that.

it's not always easy, but being nervous is the absolutely worst thing you can do when your starting off as a ref. try to be as confident as you can be. blow your whistle loudly when you call a foul. point in the direction. and act like you're in charge, even if you're not so certain inside.

and, rest assured, somewhere, sometime, something is going to go wrong. it may not be your first game, but it will happen eventually. a strange play. a bad call. a fluky goal. who knows what it will be, but i don't think there's a ref out there who can honestly say that it never happened. so, do your best. that's all you can do.

    and remember, stay confident.

Go out and have fun. After all, it is a game.
If asked to submit a written match report, please use a spellchecker. ;)

    Rediculously far nor
Have you ever seen a perfect game called? Me either! Take your mistakes(and you will know about most of them) seriously and learn from them. You learn nothing from doing a perfect game.
