Credit to @ChuckMe92 for the spot at Drogheda United: The 19-year-old, who has represented Ireland at underage level, made 17 appearances for Athlone Town in 2015 as they finished fifth in the First Division but after putting pen to paper in November of that year, he is now excited at the challenge of establishing himself as first choice goalkeeper at United Park. http://www.droghedaunited.ie/squad/post.php?s=2013-04-30-patrick-dunican#sthash.feQTEAq8.dpuf A Chicago-born '96 and a teammate of Lucius "Hush Hush" Cary. Still a good joke. https://twitter.com/patrickdunican1 The title of this thread, however, may be obscure even by my standards, such as they are.
Thanks for the mention! By my count, he's the third Irish-American goalkeeper to be called up by the FAI in recent years, the other two being Danny Rogers and Darren Randolph (who is starting for Ireland in the Euros).
This article says Drogheda didn't offer him a new contract for 2017. http://www.independent.ie/regionals...-ace-thomas-signs-for-the-drogs-35308654.html
