Da Costa and Kostic will continue to be a tough duo for Chandler to leapfrog. Kostic, in particular, was dazzling at times today.

Chandler's best hope will be injuries and fixture congestion, although he'll also be competing with Durm for appearances.

competition is more than that, your forgetting that because of his season long injury, it forced Frankfurt to get another RB and so they did, Toure, can also be deployed at CB too.

Chandler just got a beautiful assist in the 89th minute to bring the game to 2-1 with Frankfurt trailing Leipzig. Game is now in stoppage time.

Chandler was very good. I think we're going to see him start soon, with how easily he was turning his defender up the sideline.

Eintracht Frankfurt turned down a €40 million offer from Inter Milan for Filip Kostic on deadline day. #SGE (Sport Bild)

It would have a brilliant move for Kostic (to play under Conte) and Inter Milan, but Eintracht would have been left in the lurch with Chandler (and others) as stopgaps for the left wing back spot.

is his career going the way of Johnson or is he still a capable player/starter for Frankfurt?

FJ has played 3 games, started 2, played 182 mins in the league this season
Chandler has played 1 game, where he came off the bench and played 13 mins. (He does have 2 Europa games where he started 1 game, 92 mins)

ESPN's lineup graphic shows Chandler starting at LM in a 3-4-1-2. Maybe the only YA starting today in the big 4 leagues?

And Chandler's man, Richter, scores for Augsburg. Tim had been following him close but in the end stayed in midfield while Marco moved to the area. No idea why TC just stood in the middle of the field marking no one.

If Chandler is over the hill, I'm surprised that Frankfurt signed him for 3 more years.

Hope they didn't pay much because he's looking rusty out there.

Poor Tim. First ball he manages to get to and he's offside.

    Disappointing for me.

If he comes on relatively early, I'll start a match thread and link to it here.
