Went 90 today and got a yellow card in a 0-4 loss to Bayern. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...intracht-frankfurt-32_bayern-muenchen-14.html
Timmy went the full 90 as Eintract Frankfurt beat last place (!) Borussia Dortmund 2-0. He was excellent defensively, cutting out passes on several occasions, and generally locking down the right side of the pitch. Offensively, he played some nice, probing long balls, and sent in a good cross which forced save. It's the 4th straight game he's went the full 90 and it looks like he's displaced Sasha Ignjovski who Thomas Schaaf actually brought with him from Werder Bremen to Frankfurt.
Very much the case, he looked very assured, although Dortmund are in terrible shape right now. He was also important in the second goal, slipping into the inside channel and making a crunching and well-timed tackle that won possession and then he moved the ball to the CM who launched a good ball forward. Really good FB play.
I haven't really checked in on the Krauts much this season - what the heck happened to Dortmund? I might have to use my bumble-bee stripes to wash the karmann ghia!
Looks like whoever did the Kicker ratings for that game didn't agree with us as Chandler got a shockingly low 4.5 rating. I don't understand how someone who watched that game could say his performance was sub par.
Me neither. It's easy to overrate him based on this match, given how bad Dortmund are at the moment, but Chandler looked solid and effective, like he belonged in BL1. A lot of serious injuries (Reuss is now out till the end of the season) and a toothless attack (Aubemyang looks completely lost - and the team's confidence is rock-bottom. Even when they're completely dominating their opponent (and they did for long periods yesterday) they never look like they believe they have a right to score. I have a real soft spot for them, but even if I didn't it would be very sad to look at, and it is
Chandler went 90 against Bremen - solid in defence for most of the game and constructive going forward. He was crucial in the game-killing third goal, making a good 1-2 with the RM and driving through the inside-right channel before releasing the striker for the shot on goal (which hit the post with another player finishing the rebound). He was partially at fault for Bremen's second goal, but Eintracht as a whole had switched off a bit after going 4-1 up. Another good day at the office overall.
A "3" from the Kicker. I had him with two "MLS assists", aka "key passes". 7.9 from Who Scored (Eintracht had a bunch of high scores in a 5:2 win, obviously) Overall, Timmy is 6.81 for the season on Who Scored and 3.94 on the Kicker.
Almost scored a stunner in their 2-3 loss to Hoffenheim today. Made the that Hoffenheim sub behind goal flinch http://gfycat.com/OrdinaryVainBengaltiger
