Is this the case of Flo looking after his legacy and eventual exit by giving Zidane free rein? I don't know how else to explain this.
He finally accepted that the team(squad) is bad and needs a complete overhaul and non other than Zidane is better positioned to build this new team. This is how I explain it.
I don't want him back for a year or two, i want him here for 10 years. We'll win some and lose some but let the man build an even bigger legacy.
Is it even possible for Zidane to get any more legendary?! If he rescues this team, we'll need to name the next training complex/stadium after him.
Everyone is going crazy right now. I have to say that i am utterly impressed by the clubs ability to keep things in secret. This has been going on for a few years now. Literally every rumor by the media is an educated guess at best.
Means poch was defo going nowhere other than spurs. Well i welcome he back..zidanes a legend as a player and what he did for the seasons he managed Does mean bales gonna be going to premier league Hope perez lets him buy the players we need and get rid of the rubbish
And what did perez say to zidane to entice him back? Was it 'dont worry ill get rid of bale this time, im sorry for not letting you chose your players last time, you were right about madrid...pleeeeaaasee come back'
All the credit. We are online and we hate admitting we are wrong. He had to swallow his pride and basicslly own to the fact this mess is his doing. It started when he didn't get Zidane Pogba. Then it kept growing... blowing up when Florentino forced Bale on us which made us lose out in Mbappe.

Uhhh.... we've been hearing for a week now that it was zidane or mourinho next - ie. Perez's two favourite coaches. When it became clearer that Zidane may join, they delayed the decision to fire Solari.
If we had Pogba and Mbappe I think we would have been in a much better position now. Crucial positions on the pitch which are hard to improve now would have been strengthened with just the type of players for Madrid. Zidane had a knack for transfers.
I will be always happy to see Zidane. I loved his arrival out of nowhere, running off three Champs Leagues titles in a row, then leaving just as quickly. It made for the perfect addition to his legend. With his return, I'm a bit worried that we're going to risk a "leave a hero, or stick around long enough to become the villain" situation. Our team isn't that strong right now and while we have some promising young players, the next Cristiano doesn't appear to be about to walk through that door. I'm worried that if we don't immediately jump back into contention, people will start to sour on Zidane. We'll certainly get to see what kind of coach he is, though. There were a few big matches where he seemed to really nail his tactics and out manage the opposition, but there were a lot more where tactics seemed pretty neutral and the players just got it done in the end. He doesn't have quite the tools now, so we'll see how he deploys what he has. I'm also excited as it seems to me that the only way that he would have agreed to come back and sign an extended contract would be if Florentino promised him a good bit of control and a biiiig transfer kitty. So hopefully exciting things are on the horizon.
I dreamt it, you realised it and Flo made it happen. Great tag team bro [emoji109] I don't care if we don't win anything for the next 2 seasons. Zizou needs time to get this team in his true image. Exciting times ahead!
