you'd be willing to tape it and ship me the tape...with one catch...

That you also tape the Everton (McBride?) /Tottenham (Keller) match on Jan 12 and if possible the Blackburn (Friedel) / Birmingham (Kirovski) on Jan 18 same day (or FSW rebroadcast) as the USA/Canada Friendly.

Shipping over here costs between $4 - $7 and the tape costs $2 or $3, so you'll get the match plus possibly $10 bucks in your pocket :D

There are about 5 other Yanks I trade tapes with over here, so any help would be appreciate by myself and the others...

Three matches CAN fit on one video cassette, but if it can't be done, then I'll throw in a few extra bucks to make it a fair deal for two tapes...

If you have PayPal that would be easiest, if you don't I can always send a check/money order...those of you on the East Coast, the shipping is a little bit less than the West Coast...

If interested post here or PM me, I'd appreciate it.

    Cheers

    -Tree

I don't think we'd require you to foot all of the bill for the match, but if you wanted to chip in we would certainly be willing. I'm going to watch the Canada game on PPV and I believe I can get the other two on TV (both on FSW right?) My brother just moved and gets what seems like 10 different soccer channels so I will ask him about this and get back to you. I have Paypal and am on the East Coast. I will forward him the link to this page and let you know.

    games

I am the aforementioned brother. I can tape the US game as far as I know. I'm relying on a friends house that has DirecTV. I haven't checked the FSW schedule about the other games. Let me know if you have already lined someone else up to do this or if you still need help.

    help

Please help! I cannot find ANYONE I know with DirectTV and they are not showing the game on In-Demand sports PPV, which is how we usually see any PPV matches.
I checked our local FSW website and on 1/12/03 they will be showing the Everton-Tottingham game. I also checked on 1/19/03, but no Blackburn game on that date. They may show it at a later date, but it's not listed yet. They WILL be showing the Man Utd vs Chelsea; Liverpool vs Southampton/ & even Arsenal vs West Ham on 1/19/03.
Could we make a deal for any of these matches in exchange for a tape of the US/Canada game?
    Thanks!

This may be a brash idea, but I am sure many of us would like to see the game, so I propose one of us with the technological capability (I'll volunteer if no one else with more time can), but to transfer the game to computer, then making the game available for download for everyone, though a file-sharing program. Can even break the game up into 10 or 20 minute sections to make downloading easier on you all w/o broadband.

Oh, it may be illegal, but I'll take one for the team with my conscience being clear.

This is somewhat off the topic, but does anyone know about how much it will cost to see the game on Direc-TV?
I thought I read earlier that they will not carry the game, though. Why is this? I am on a limited budget, so the cheaper it is, the better.

I stand corrected. I think Setanta is merely presenting the game on DirecTV.

Ditto, that goes for me as well.

    Big Soccer Personals:

Is anyone going to digitally record this game and throw it on an ftp server or kazaa?
