Can Pogba match or break the 20 assists record in a season?

Pogba on course to smash assists record (premierleague.com)

Still a long ways away of course and not a given but his terrific start, if nothing else, is providing him the platform to take a crack at it. Our chance creation numbers are bound to improve this season.
Not to mention that Ronaldo's presence means there will less waste also, which can only help his chances. Would love it if he can take a serious run at it.

Okay let me stir up some shite.

Back to the should he have tracked that Leeds player on that goal.

One of my favorite posters asked in defense of PP, if that was Ronaldo (or was it Messi) would (we) expect him to track the runner or some such.

Well I counted at least twice CR7 tracked a play all the way back deep into our half in the game yesterday.

So yes Pogba; hustle back and run over someone while you are at it.

CR7 also gave up midway tracking and did not press when the Souček/Wan-Bissaka coming together happened in the box. one off examples are not good

Don't remember that but one of the times he flapped a bit at the tackle and wh ended in an advantageous position.

But i think my point still stands, giving up or halfassing it put the team at risk. Everyone needs to track back when needed. Pogba needed to have tracked that Leeds player, outcome notwithstanding.

Have to give it to Pogs' stylist: coming up with the most interesting trims. Hey Souness where you at: what are you saying now?

    Probably the same as me.

It's his hair, but it looks ridiculous.

He's a person who can pull these crazy hairstyles and is def in a position to do so, so he should go for it, if that's what he wants to do. Not a fan of all his trims over the years but I do appreciate he likes to mix it up.
At this point, him with a standard fade just seems odd and boring for him anyway.

You’re confused. That’s Wayne Rooney if he was poor.

I was feeling lazy and hadn't pulled out the #0 guide for a couple of weeks. Looks more like Shaw then.

Unmistakably more Rooney than Shaw. And it's not even close...

As if there was any doubts about his class at this juncture... With Rashford ready to return now and the wide left spot looking more blocked than ever (on top of our midfield looking weak right now as well), it's time for Ole to figure it out with Pogs in midfield. Not an unsolvable puzzle either with the personnel on hand and it frankly could save his job in the process...
As far as Pogs himself is concerned, would be nice to see the fire he showed a few times yesterday: have a feeling it will be needed in the coming games also.

Paul is class, it is united who has made him an enigma. Dont blame if he wants to leave and win something substantial at club level.

Pretty much what I've been saying in regards to him for some time that it's evident that the club has failed him. Was sold a bill of goods by Woodward and the club (he was the start of a big rebuild at United) and they simply haven't delivered.
Speaks volume that, except currently with this squad, the best team he's been on in 5yrs at the club was the one from his first season. Looked almost a given that the club would continue building the team around him then. Instead they sat on their hands, for all intents and purposes, hoping that what we had with him and others would be enough somehow to make the team competitive.
Finally have pulled their finger out but it might be too late. And if it isn't, it will cost the club a lot to keep him on board (replacing him correctly will probably be more expansive anyway). While there isn't certitude with this, I still like to believe that if the club were to bring in a quality DCM by next summer, there is a good chance he'll want to stay since we should, on paper at least, be competitive for major honors. Biggest question then will be about the manager, and it could be a valid one...

Very obvious from the first half already that Pogs wanted this one bad: his fire was burning hot. His halftime speech only confirms it:
"We have to be aggressive. It starts up top all the way to the back, all of us. We get the ball back and we attack. They are a quality team, so they'll make us run a lot, but we are a quality team as well. We also have to keep the ball: we do that, we'll hurt them. This half coming up, it's about us being aggressive"
