There was a little banter between a few guys on a thread, and it came out that you can't put a mod/admin on ignore. That's pretty weak. I have no one in mind that I want to add to mine in that respect, but what if in the future I have no more interest in reading what, for example, Various Styles has to say. I can't ignore him? I signed up, and paid my $30 SPECIFICALLY for the ignore lists. I should be able to use it however I want. Can I get a non-"You need to read the announcements from (insert mod's name here)" explanation for this? Cheers
I have a question. I wish to ignore fiddlestick and his baiting attempts on NotSoccer. However, when I try to do that, it says he is a moderator/admin, and I can't ignore him. Therefore, I second the notion that we should be able to ignore moderators/admins. Now if he is not an moderator/admin, then someone on BigSoccer has his settings all wrong. And if he IS a moderator/admin, he isn't acting like one when he violates TOS with baiting and trolling.
This is the exact bug which Huss said they are working on. Fiddlestick is not a BigSoccer moderator, but he is a premium member, and therefore he is the "moderator" of his personal forum. The bug is that you can't put a moderator on your ignore list, which means that you can't put ANY premium member on your ignore list, since there is currently no distinction between a "real" moderator and a premium member. They're working on it.
Forget about the ignore lists you loser... Just get a big ball of wool ,crawl inside it ,get into the foetus position and suck your thumb. that will help you cope with the trauma of reading someone elses opinions... lmao
Why? The internet is not free. I just ask that anyone but Admins should be able to be put on the ignore list. The page generation logic should just check to see if the ignoree is the moderator of the forum the thread is in - only then would the message be displayed. afl version: I should be able to ignore JMU Soccer in every forum except MLS N&A.
Re: Re: Ignore lists With personal attacks such as this from you, you can clearly see why we need an ignore list.
It allows me to ignore moderators in the forum they moderate. I'm not sure you want to allow that behavior.
I just had the problem with trying to "ignore list" (I prefer to think of it as "shitcan" but have it your way) a premium member, and it said I couldn't do it, due to him being a "Moderator or an Admin" which he's clearly not. (If he was, I'd have definite evidence that the owners were hoping to go out of business) The thread implies that this was fixed. Am I correct about that?
Try clearing out your temporary internet files and cache. Then open a new browser. No guarantees but it's worth a shot to change the settings.
Tried it. Still got: Sorry *********** is a moderator/admin and you are not allowed to ignore him or her. Thanks though. Any other ideas?
I'd say delete the cookies from your browser if you use them, but not sure if that will make a difference. The changing DNS settings Huss mentioned elsewhere (https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=41211) should have already happened with your ISP, I'd think.
Ok. I just tried to update my ignore lists and it tells me that certain people who were ON my ignore list already, can't be ignored since they are moderators/admins, and I know they aren't. This issue was fixed once before, but apparently the problem has propped up again Yes, I cleared my cookies and my temp files and everything.
