please quit posting this organization's rankings on every board. they are obvioulsy flawed... much more so than the infamous fifa rankings.
SO WHAT if those poor krauts can't spell. They watch plenty of soccer and, at least some of them, think Brad Friedel is a top goalkeeper. I'm sure it helps that the USMNT played Germany in the WC quarters, but it's still nice to see a US player recognized outside of the US. The poll was flawed though, because Kasey Keller obviously should have been tied with Brad for 6th place.
US Soccer Players.com has a little story. http://www.ussoccerplayers.com/latest_soccer_news/335507.html When Brad saw the list, he would have saved it.
Maybe, but my impression is that it is supposed to be based on results for all of 2002. Seaman was not impressive for the 3 Lions (well, not in a positive way, at least), but Arsenal did have a great deal of success in 2002, and he was/is their No. 1 (not that I think he has contributed to their success as much as Henry, et. al.). These guys need an editor, but I don't have a real problem with Kahn, Casillas and Rustu as the top three. I think that it says a lot that they have placed BF between Buffon and Toldo (who are certainly not stiffs)...and miles ahead of Seaman.
