...who would you choose? Is there a global brand that fits with Arsenal's image? (Don't say Wal-Mart). Aesthetically, what would look good? I don't like the Fly Emirates branding on the shirt - it's way too fussy. O2 was clean and simple.
o2 was nice, as was jvc.......canon woul be nice in an ironic way! aston martin or jaguar could look cool
Let me just say. I am still 16 so my mum still approves what I wear before I leave the house and she do not let me wear my Arsenal jersey. Reason is because I am Indian, so my skin tone is brown so she is worried about me going out with a shirt in America that says "Fly Emirates" for some reason. Its stupid but that is what holds me back. Almost like when I wore a New Jersey Devils sweatshirt in England which said "Devils" on it and I got the middle finger from a bunch of Chelsea fans on the bus because they thought it meant Manchester United and not New Jersey. But ya, sad that I have to wait a few years for a new sponsor but I had to pick one now.... BRITISH AIRWAYS!
If you've got to have a bloody ad, well, the O2 was pretty cool. Other than that, Unicef would be pretty cool. But the worst of all is Fly Emirates, given that several other teams have it. Makes us look like bloody whores. Which selling out your jersey makes us, but having the same sponsor as Chelsea has always made me feel a little unclean.
Man United got Chevrolet, so Aston Martin would the ultimate trump card. Though they'll never pay the kind of cash we want.
i'd like to see a british firm, but BA's management are a bunch of ****er's and jaguar/aston martin/triumph etc couldn't afford to put that kind of cash in. the biggest british companies are in finance or natural resources (bp, shell, rio tinto, bhp biliton). outside of those you have the likes of bt, vodafone, tesco, unilever and glaxo-smithkline.
I always liked British Airways. The only problem with there management is that they are not smart enough to get better looking stewardesses. Bp would look ugly on any uniform.
I'd like it if it were some British firm no one had ever heard of here in the states. Since it's a bit unusual to have a sponsor on a jersey (except nascar), most people give you odd looks when you wear your kit around. I like the "canon" idea bigman. But, I'd like to see Usmanov put up or shut up and give us a huge sponsorship deal, so:
This is one of my FIFA'12 teams. Has Zlatan, Tevez, and Carroll on the roster. I'd like Toyota. I am an engineer for 'yota, it is a clean logo, and we have a nice warchest.
So if we decide to leave Fly Emirates, our stadium will no longer be known as the Emirates stadium?....awkward.
Not really, it simply reverts back to Ashburton Grove unless someone else buys naming rights. Better name if you ask me
Well sponsorship is about win-win. I don't care either way, as long as it is a large global firm and/or brand who sponsors us.
i was thinking of starting a new thread for this.. am i the only one who never says "the emirates"? for some reason i still say Ashburton Grove.
I thought the deal kept the Emirates Stadium as the Emirates for a little bit longer, or did wikipedia lie to me again.
