ok, just for the fun of it:

if you had your pick of any midfielder on the planet to replace paddy v. who would you go with? while we're at it - how about a replacement for bobby p.?

yeah...I can't think of any other midphielder that I would be as stoked to have as much as Ronaldinho.

Or Edu....I think he would be a quick learn:D

i don't think ronaldinho would be hit in the premiership, but that's just my opinion.

the perfect replacement for vieira is steven gerrard, and he's the only midfielder in the world i would love to have at arsenal.

Glad to see someone has some sense. Ballack do Vieiras role ? Are you mad ?

Personally I dont think Gerrard would be able to do what Vieira does either. There are few players who can do what Vieira did for Arsenal. Keane but not now, Emerson, (Scary thought hes playing NEXT TO Vieira now)Hamann but he can't play make like Vieira. Perhaps Mascherano ? would be a risk but it could pay off.

Essien but looks like hes off to Chelski.

You don't know what you've got till its gone and this could be a painlful lesson for Wenger to learn.

At what he did Vieira was simply the best in the world.

good pick, but i was thinking of a replacement for vieira's position. ronnie is more of an attacking midfielder. would be a dream to have him at the emirates, though.

Keane? the gay Ronaldo? These guys playing in an Arsenal kit could quite possibly spell the end of the world...I don't even want to imagine it...I don't know how I'd feel about Ballack with Arsenal...

Ronaldinho would be excellent to have. Hopefully Essien isn't signed by Chelski this season and we'll be able to get him next year as he would be a damn good choice. While Jenas isn't an ideal choice, he'd be nice to fill the hole, short term, plus it would give us a rare English signing...

Kompany (thought of as a central defender, but I like his pace and passing ability for midfield) or Mascherano (every time I see him, I think he looks the real thing - tackles, passing, all of it).
