If you could only watch one league until you die, would it be MLS?

Thread title says it all. Here's the scenario: Aliens invade earth and decide that our society is in shambles because we have too much choice. They require that every soccer fan choose one league and one league only to follow until they die. You can watch 40 games of your choice per year from your chosen league. You can not read about, see highlights of, or otherwise follow any other soccer league. You can follow your chosen league in any way you choose.

Would you choose MLS? I would.

If you could only watch one league..............die

It would have to be the Italian Serie A or the English Premiership (and as a Scotsman that was *@#*@#*@#*@#*@#*@#ing hard to admit). To be honest I have only ever seen edited highlights of the MLS- the standard of football played looks good- but it would really have to be Italy for me.

Would the aliens allow me just to watch the World Cup every four years? I'd negotiate that deal as there's nothing bigger than the Cup.

Argentina, without a doubt. With great young players always bursting on the scene and the fact that every match means something because of the short season (only 19 matches per tournament -- fall on your face for a couple of weeks and you're dead). Even the riots!

But I'd hate not to be able to see the Mexicans. They're so much fun.

MLS, for sure. Doesn't matter to me how much more "developed" other leagues are because MLS is still like a child, it's fun to watch it grow.

MLS all the way. It is where all my favorite teams play (with the exception of the Sounders-they are not there yet).

MLS, but only if there is assurance that there will be more than 10 clubs in the future, more like 18 or 20...

    Otherwise England

MLS definitley. Is it as good as Italy, England, Spain and all the other top leagues in the world? No. But I have 1000000000000000X more emotional investment in this league than any other place in the world.

Since I'm a fan of the Galaxy and not soccer it would have to be whatever league the Galaxy played in.

If the Galaxy (read the LA team) were to go away, I would stop watching soccer on every level. It would simply cease to exist in my world.

That's curious. Are you just an LA sports fan, or what?

    Exactly.

Nothing against soccer but we have at least 3 other established team sports I think are more fun to watch (I root for the Lakers but otherwise think basketball is a silly game).

They built the HDC and my wife and I went to check out a game, we had a good time and afterwards we bought season tickets.

I will support the Galaxy with my heart and pocket book as long as they play in OC/LA, but it's the team I am emotionaly invested in, not the sport.

(The Lakers don't get a dime of my money btw)
