It might conversely work against you, as players could think they have done all they can at the club and that they want a new challenge.

I don't think it will solve any problems as I don't think the things you mentioned are "problems," at least problems that are unique to Arsenal.

That said, of all the things we could win, I want the Champions League more than anything. I understand that those in England care about the EPL more than anything, but being abroad and more commonly running into "fans" of the Madrids and Milans of the world and not the Aston Villas and Tottenhams, the Champions League would be the ultimate bragging rights...

What, you want fans of other teams to see Arsenal as a false prophet? Or do you just want the Arsenal board to begin a global reign of terror and for Hill-Wood to walk around wearing a dress, gaudy jewelry and a stupid hat?

Most of those players were starting out their Careers. I think Rijkkard was the only Established player on that team. And unlike Arsenal, Ajax is a selling club.

I think the new stadium will help solve problem #3. And it's not that high profile players don't want to sign with us. We typically don't go after them as much, instead deciding to go after smaller buys. I also think #1 and #3 are related more than people think. Look at what Gerrard just pulled at Liverpool.

As for #4, I still say we need to send ArseAm missionaries door to door with "Fever Pitch" to help with this problem! "And lo, for there was Saint Michael, alone in his attempt to slay the Mighty Scousers. For then, he directed the ball into the net, and it was good. And there was much rejoicing in the Kingdom of Highbury, for it was truly the Promised Land."

And in one fell swoop, you manage to alienate all the Gooners who don't believe in Jeebus.

Winning the CL would of course be a fantastic acheivement, but I don't think there are any problems at Arsenal than other clubs. I think there are less actually. The media seem to be the creators of most of these "problems" that Arsenal seem to face.
