What would MLS do for this........see after 6:25. Flares aimed at other fans. Chairs thrown from above. Cigarettes thrown. Spitting on fans. If that was an MLS game, Impact fans would be banned from other stadiums for the rest of the season.
I am NOT saying all Impact fans act like this. And Lord knows TFC fans can be occasional gits. But, lets be clear, in most parts of the world, there would be SERIOUS repercussions for that sort of behaviour.
Big deal. Keep on posting stuff like this and hardcore fans will be banned and soccermoms will rule MLS.
This is part of football and a good old rivalry between 2 hated clubs I kinda enjoyed it. As long as no one gets hurt who frecking cares
absolutely not true. Blanco was suspended by MLS after a violent red card in the U.S. Open Cup. MLS teams CAN absolutely be punished for representing the league poorly. this is single entity. teams are not separate organizations. teams are not even remotely independent or autonomous. the league has the legal right to punish any team anyway they want without arbitration. MLS is not every other American sports league.
So if the guy that almost got hit by that second chair that was thrown had been hit your opinion would be different?
i never said anything about MLS always punishing teams for incident. the statement inferring that the CSA is the only one allowed to punish the teams under said circumstances is a fallacy.
Thats Mr. Badass to you read what I said guy as long as no one gets hurt embrace the hate of a heated rivalry.
I just have a problem with vids like this "it's like hey MLS look at this" so now we will have some fans posting vids just like they do on youtube. look mom I smoked something and I have no responsibility over myself and next thing it's all over the news. If they got caught good. so what's next Headline News "Undercover stings at MLS games"
So for the record, you condone violence? Violence means real football? You're an idiot. This has nothing to do with 'hardcore' fans and 100% to do with idiots. If behavior like this picks up, no more away support at TFC/MTL games and the league gets a bad rap for fan violence. THINK people. I personally know many UM02 supporters, I lived in Montreal for four years and would always check out Impact games. They are great guys, great supporters but idiots will always infiltrate their ranks. If they know whats good for their own groups health, they'll deal with this internally because behavior like this should not be accepted under the guise of 'hardcore' support.
Quebequers aren't pacific, sorry Toronto but don't mess with us : We beat cops so you're wrong if you think that we'll let your punky fans intimidate us.
(cuz yes the video doesn't show it but those incidents were response to some tfc fans trying to beat 2 of our guys while we were hold in our section by the police)
You really don't know. I don't think that guy at 6:58 is looking down. I don't think he cares that he might hit somebody. If by chance there's a 6yr old kid walking in that area, he'll definitely get hurt.
What does tried to beat up mean? And how is throwing flares and chairs on supporters way down below a proper response? ********ing kids.
Perhaps they should've stayed with the rest of those fans in your section. If Montreal fans as a group want to taunt Toronto fans and let two big mouths out of your section what do you expect is going to happen? The security is there for your own protection, if some of those people aren't going make use of it...well unfortunately some bad things may happen.
People who weren't there talking about how it started..., ok tfc fans, you're right, this was all one sided, wanton violence against the loveable and innocent people of toronto. Don't start idiocy, and then complain about the result. And to the guy who almost got hit, and the hilarious, what if a 4 year old was there... Don't walk under people when you already see fire and other things there, along with the posturing crowd of tfc fans taunting people. Like the guy who recorded the video, flip off and taunt people who already threw things, then complain about how the other people involved are idiotic and aggressive... Cmon.
I hope MLS flies this guy to New York to make this argument to The Don's face right before UM gets a travel ban.
If you react to people flipping you off by throwing fire and chairs at them, you belong in professional wrestling.
