What do you think? If the Sox finally cast off the curse of the Babe a few scant days before the election, does that help Kerry? Yeah, I'm mostly joking, but in the wacky, wild world of politics and the undecided voter, it just might. Who knows.
I suppose it's possible that a Red Sox win could help Kerry in NH and in the battle for 1 electoral vote in one of the congressional districts in ME. As Segroves points out, it would probably hurt Kerry in the rest of the country. Anyone making their decision based on this will deserve the insults that they receive.
Moments before winning the World Series, an asteroid will crash into the earth, destroying life as we know it. At least we'll finally be rid of Bush, but I don't see it helping Kerry much.
Could we please localize that asteroid to Boston... a heck, most of New England will suffice, we don't want to put too much pressure on the asteroid.
Well Kerry would support the Sox in the Series, after he voted against them in the Playoffs! Depends which day you asked Kerry... I hear Tuesdays are pro and Wednesdays are con... check with Cahill and McAuliffe!
If the Sox win the World Series, I'm gonna vote Green. Then again, I'm in a non-swing state so it might not matter so much.
Sure it will help the Senator. It will not help elect him, but if he is a big Red Sox fan, it will at least provide him some much needed consolation as he drowns his sorrows in a bacarat crystal bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac at an exclusive New England country club after November 2nd.
I don't know if a RedSox win would help Kerry or not. But I heard someone said this: NY Yankees = USA What's good for America is good for Yankees. Or vice versa. RedSox is French. The lose of Yankees signifies the decline of America.
What? Hell no. Nobody up here considers ourselves part of NE and God knows that those New Englanders don't look kindly on us either. Last time I was in Vermont someone referred to me as a flatlander because I'm from NY. I pointed out that I live Upstate and they said it didn't matter.
So I guess that makes Vermont "mountain country". Bunch of pvssies. Dude, the hills of Oakland and Berkeley and just about any foothill range in Cali is taller than the Green "Mountains". You East Coasters, seriously gots ta redefine for ya'selves what constitutes a mountain. Uh, there's no [R], so does that limit the comments on this thread?
