oh, i get it now. Abt being a torn in our side, it is easy to look good when you are playing behind cicinho for a full game.

Sevilla was placed 15th on the day he was transferred out to Arsenal, so it was more like ripping down.

well I think we can kiss this Reyes nonsense goodbye

    http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?...=3&lid=2&title=Reyes+hits+out+at+quit+reports

Once again, the bored English press just recycles an old story. I don't doubt that he wants to be back at Spain eventually. However, I think with the losof Bergkamp and Pires from Arsenal, a permanent starting spot can now open up for Reyes and he will take advantage of it.

Where will he fit though? We have Cassano, Robinho, Raul, Baptisa, and Beckham. Now Robinho and Cassano are not left wingers thats true but both we already have and both can do it just fine. Now where do you think Reyes will fit if we dont sell anyone? Capello wants to use Raul, if he does not use Robinho just about everyone will be pissed at him, Becks...will he have the balls to bench him ( I hope so ) and Cassano who is like a son to him. Baptista is so-so with Capello I think. So I really dont see the need for Reyes.

You could include Pavon, Gravesen, Ruud, Cicinho etc. in that list as well, seeing as neither of those are left wingers like Reyes is either.

Having all those players didn't stop Zidane from being our left sided player in many games, so I doubt having the same amount of players for the left side as when Zidane was still with the team, will cause too much disruption.

One person can't save a team.. remember?

Regardless, he played well and was very effective.....

Also Sevilla was still in their "we'll sell our best players for loads of cash" mode at that time. They sold Reyes, Baptista, Ramos....and then they used the cash from those sales to build a new team.
If he was in Sevilla now, things would be different (unless Del Nido needs bail money, that is).

Yes I remember those games but didn't Baptista and Guti take the center with Gravesen behind them?. My memory could be wrong but I think that was when for some odd reason Robinho was benched by Caro. At the start with Luxa Robinho was not even on the left so...but anyways we will see what happens. Reyes has denied the rumors so it might have just been some shit made up by the media.

Yeah, so was this. I should've said he's as English as maple syrup, but I know people get tocuhy about Hargreaves and the English NT.

He *looked* good, but IMO he has never been very effective, not for Sevilla, not for Arsenal, not for the Spanish NT. I certainly don't want him, I see no sense in signing sub-par Spaniards just because they're Spaniards.

In my very humble opinion i believe moving robinho too much from spot to spot will take away much of his creaivity. remember luxemburgo? that fool had no idea where to put him, and the only way he thrived and succeded was on the left where lopez caro put him. theres still no knowing what is robinhos true and best position because in the WC he played all over and was determinant and skillfull.

And if th club wants to consider a future this boy needs to become the goldenboy at Real madrid. as Robinho is still young and could become our best player.

I say leave Robinho in the same role Raul was developed: in the hole, around the area, with creative freedom and space to run. Maybe in 2-3 years he'll become the next best player in the world.

In my humble opinion Robinho will be the best player in the world in 1 to 2 years time. Like I said, I have high hopes for this "kid".

Yes, I agree with this post.

I also wanna add that Robihno should be given a free role on the pitch. Thats where he shows his true greatness. Robinho if used right will become the best player in the World. He had outshoned all the Brasilian players in the limited minutes he played including Ronaldinho #1 player at the World. And this wasn't the first time either, he did so in the Confederation Cup and in some games during South Amercian qualifier.

Like is aid, Real Madrid need to use him well next season and allow him this free role on the pitch just like how they were doing with Zidane.

OK sorry, I thought you thought I was being serious.

As for Reyes, I have to disagree. At Sevilla he was a very young player who while not consistent, showed enough to indicate he has the potential to become an incredible player.
The move to Arsenal was for me a very strange one (and brave) because if ever there was a player you could not see going abroad it was Reyes. Without wishing to insult the guy (who I admit is one of my favourite players), it is clear that he is a very much a mummy's boy who is very close to his family, who are very simple people. He is also not the most educated or worldly wise of people. (again I mean no disrespect by this ...just a statement of fact).
Because of this background I think his move to London was incredibly brave and is something that will benefit him for the future both on and off the field.
It is clear he has not really settled in English football and would like to return and I believe that he would blossom into the player he has shown glimpses of , if he were to return to Spain.
Anyway I guess it is not certain if he is returning so we'll just have to wait and see.
