Last season Modric topped Kroos' bad performances. He looked aged and that this level is is too much for him. Similar to how Marcelo looks now.

Zidane has managed him well this year.

Okay, no one is arguing that.

We are talking about more than last season.

I expect his performance levels to drop off a cliff for the next six months.

I've noticed he's not been up to his usual level in the last 2 games, hopefully he regains his best form for City.

    Congrats on the baby :D.

Agree, the energy levels have been similar, but his effectiveness and potency hasn't been there.

    Idk

If his wife/gf is Hispanic, he will be fine. She would most likely bring her mom to help her and he would still be able to concentrate on futbol

So young. I could never understand that with footballers. It's like someone is telling them "settle down, have some kids"

Good luck to them. Marrying earlier and having kids earlier is way better than waiting, so long as you got the right partner. I wish I had my kids ten years earlier.

And I had my mom around helping my wife look after my daughter when she was born. I still had to take all sorts of time away from the office and productivity went waaaay down. Luckily I work for myself so I could take as much time off as I needed and catch up in the evenings.

I think it’s a shift of priorities more than anything else. I used to be able to do 18 hour shifts in the office quite easily when I was younger and single. I haven’t done more than 12 hours a day (and those are fairly rare) since I had a child.

Fede is probably gonna focus on spending time with his child, quite rightly, and I don’t know if his focus will be entirely on football for a few months. By this time in the summer I reckon we’ll all be demanding Pogba lol.

Man, much respect to you brother because everyone has their own path but I disagree about that first paragraph. Got married at 29 (been together since 22) had my kids at 33 and 37 and I’m glad I did it that way. Got to travel the world and have years as a couple before really settling down. Makes me have less regrets or things I couldn’t do because I had kids. Best wishes to Fede and his family regardless, but yeah he has some work ahead. Granted these footballers can afford way more assistance than any of us can so the burden is different.

I think you are both right.

Having kids later in life allow for years of freedom and for the kids to be born into a more stable home and life.

But having kids at a younger age has its advantages as well, especially for the kids imo. I already had 3 kids by the age of 25 and i can't imagine people who have kids in their 40s.

Being a young parent allows me to relate better with my kids, have more energy to be involved, relate better with their friends, and just opens up a lot of communication.

I will also have them out of the house by the time i am 43 and not have to deal with teenage drama and lifestyle in my 50s. I took my kids and their friends to a concert and all.of them said upon looking at all the other old dads, your dad is the coolest dad in the building lol.

Overall i would say waiting has more benefits and @natenate101 and @robertocarlos3 are right... but there are definitely some benefits as well for younger parents like myself. I have friends having kids in yheir 40s and i think ay aya ay. Good luck being the 60 year old dad when she or he is in high school.

    All of this.

Once kids come it's about them. Especially for someone 21 like Fede... you don't evennknowbif she is with you because she actually loves you because at 21 you don't even know who you really are.

I think waiting and experiencing life is the better way.

Younger or older, age doesn't matter - all that matters in marriage is the partner.

Yeah people say marriage is hard.

It is not. The hard part is finding the right person to marry.
