I say treat him like garbage, I think he would be disappointed if he didn't hear "YOU SUCK" on every goal kick or the "EARTHQUAKE REJECT" chant. :D

Cannon can't sign with another team.

Even though he isn't signed with MLS yet, the Quakes still have his rights if he does.

Currently the only way he could play for another MLS team is if the Quakes traded him (or his rights).

Give him the same treatment as Cerritos/Bravo... he wears the jersey of the other team, he's fair game to the fans...

Before and after the game he gets the ovation... during the game however...

I just read my MLS Confidential and it's doesn't seem it's other MLS teams you should worry about but all the Euro teams he has seen recently.

I don't think a single one of us expects Joey to sign with another MLS team anymore than we expect to trade Goose for Serna. LDB just has too much time on his hands lately. Or he's been drinking too much or something!

However, like you said, there still remains the possibility that Joey may consider offers overseas.

I don't forsee the Quakes trading their keeper...

Since the window to head overseas is fast dwindling and the season starting in a few months he's apt to sign a deal beforehead. I can see him holding out for a better contract offer from the league but that's about it...

If all of that fails, then maybe a trade, but he's too popular here...

Then again, even the best of players in any sport gets dealt... (Josh Wolff and Eddie Pope for example...)

    Cheers!

When has he done that? Because I've seen him at several Sharks games recently, although not in the past week.

I just don't think it's likely that he'll move to Europe. I don't think there is a high-profile enough team for him to join that will make the switch worth it. He doesn't have the record/hype that would get him a good gig in Europe. He'd be better off where he is in the States.
