He said that his dream is to finish at 37.
Probably a last deal as a supersub for 2022-2023.
He will also remain in Real Madrid when he ends his career as a player.

He said already that he will remain at the club after his retirement.
He will also play world cup 2022 if he is not injured and Croatia qualified.
I don't think that Real Madrid will throw him out for the last year of his professionnal career.

He isn't being thrown out. Next season is his last season with us and it should be.

I don't but when a legend says that he will remain at the club after his retirement still being one of the best players of the year in the club showing the right mentality being one of the Madridistas favorites and accepting to lower his wages i Just don't see what in the world makes you think that Real Madrid won't accept to keep him a last year knowing he will play anyway as he might have a last world cup to prepare.

We need to be careful how we deal with LUKA next season, he was absolutely drained when he came back from the world cup a couple of years and he's older now. After having played so many games this season and heading to the Euros he's probably going to struggle next season.

I think and hope that Real Madrid will have more depth than when he came back from WC.
Case Kroos Valverde Modric Blanco and Odegard or a new midfielder.

Yesss man I'm so happy. This guy means so much to me you wouldn't ever understand. I've been trying to enjoy every second he plays but with these years being his last few I've tried to enjoy him even more. I hope we could win 1 more UCL if this is likely his last year. He's brought so much happiness to me and our small country I'll probably cry when he retires lol and you can call me a bitch.

Who is saying he won't remain after retirement?

Stop making strawman. I directly addressed you adding another year extension. That isn't something in the club's best interest no matter how great a player he has been or how much a superman you are

It's not up to you nor up to me to decide eventhough i can see that he is still one of the best Real Madrid players this season as a regular starter.

"home sweet home" that's his tweet today. Madrid became his City and the same for his family, his wife his kids.

If you think that the club will make the situation more difficult for him and not letting him spend a last season 2022-2023 at Real Madrid when he will be preparing for a world cup and playing this season Anyway then it is your opinion and only your opinion.

I don't know what the club will decide but there would be nothing exceptionnal in seeing the board accepting his plans after everything he brought and is still bringing to this club.

Modric really needs his time managed better next season. He was gassed towards the end.

This is why we need to reinforce the midfield.

    MODRIC YOU LEGEND

Elite player, pure and simple. It was clear at the end of this season he was pushing the team, kinda like Ronaldo used to do. He deserves to wear the armband next season, who would be in front of him if Ramos, Marcelo and Varane all leave?

Would it be Benzema, Nacho and Luka?

No one is arguing his Madridismo. Modric is Madrid through and through.

I just don't think the club will extend him another year while you seem certain of it. The club needs to move forward.

I just don't see the club pushing Modric to move elsewhere for just one year when he will end his career 6 months after world cup 2022. He might just accept another salary cut so Real Madrid use him as the example to follow for the legends in this club.

If Luka plays as well as he did this season they will probably give him an extension. Even though he will be 36 I don’t doubt that he will have another really good season for Real Madrid.

Luka Modric is pure class. I hope he retires here. I genuinely wish him to because he is a decent person who gives everything for the shirt without a second of hesitation.

Simply cannot ask for more from any player. What he’s given us is above and beyond the modern standards. Gem of a person. Which Balon winner takes a pay cut to stay at a club. He says he’s lucky to have been here for 10yrs, no sir, we are lucky to have him.
