God forbid you put Modric in the same breath as Iniesta. Barca fans get so triggered by this.

Dinamo Zagreb would love to see Luka play his career out there but I doubt it happens. If i have to bet I think Luka goes to ac Milan as Boban his idol I believe will convince him to come there.

They'll have to live with it because he is very much part of the same conversation.

I think he can easily play on more year but on the other hand its good plan to leave on top. Legend and class player.

Marcelo and Modric are absolute legends, greatest of all time tier. That saying, both should be 100 % sold this summer.

I think if Modric can agree to come off the bench and work as a rotational player in the midfield to rest the starters it would be worth keeping him. It looked like that's what Zidane was doing this year but was starting him a bit too much near the end. He should play 1 more year here with that bench role which he can do well in as he can't play every game anymore and then he should retire after 1 more year after one more Euros push.

Keeping Modric who is literally on bis last leg impedes us from adding quality like Odegaard, Camavinga and others.

He will expect to play a lot and we can't give that assurance. He is a champion and has done well for the club. Both Marcelo and Modric are legends who should leave through the fron door this summer.

I won't be able to deal with the day he leaves us and especially when he retires. It won't be the same for me anymore :(

A masterclass from Luka in the second half yesterday, this was the best I’ve seen him play since the 2018 CL finals, for a moment I forgot he was 34.

Just sitting looking at the highlights on YouTube and that Courtois save from Rodrigo’s shot is fantastic. This guys transformation has been like no other that I’ve seen.

    Literally from zero to hero.

Don't know man..I'd keep Luka. I mean talk about a luxury depth option even at his age. As long as he's ok to rotate how do you upgrade a Modric for that type of role? If he starts roughly 50% of games over a season that'd be great.

And you kind of want a guy like Odegaard to get a year alongside Modric...a lot to learn.

I mean James/Isco/LV leaving creates enough some space for Odegaard no?

Maybe he doesn't have the motor to start every game as a hybrid box-to-box orchestrating midfielder but if we continue to play with a front 4-3-1-2 I think he's far better than Hazard and Isco playing in the hole.

I think relinquishing him from continuously tracking back while still allowing him to utilize his superior passing range and dribbling out of right spaces would be useful.

    Again, I don't think he's done yet.

Maybe he can't do it for you in 45 matches anymore of maybe he can't be demanded to put in the same defensive shift, but he's got more left to offer.

Bring in Odegaard and let him and Modric rotate so as not to burn out either and you have the mentorship factor as well.

Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Odegaard, Fede, and Camavinga. Excellent midfield with lots of minutes to go around given age and Zidane's preference to play with 4 midfielders often.

Will have to find space in there for Isco as well, he won’t be going anywhere apparently, seems to be trusted so he will stay and play I imagine

I want whomever young players that have proven themselves and we bring back or sign to get serious minutes, like Fede this season. Odegaard or Camavinga getting Rodrygo or Brahim minutes does not do. Because of that I say bring Camavinga this season and Odegaard when Modric leaves.

I’d say Modric has earned another year at least.
