Post 'em here. With scarf #2 going to the manufacturers this week, it's time to think of a new design.

Probably not the best message we could present, but worth a chuckle courtesy of Dill0n

How about PPSF on one side and Sons of Ben on the other? But I'm thinking maybe not enough people would be interested in that...

I've seen this on crazy Turkish team scarves... 'Welcom To Hell'
would be the saying on one side, and probably just keep Philadelphia FC on the other, keep the same colors and maybe add the logo or something. But that little saying would be kind of crazy and shows we r not to be messed around with! ill try and put together a pic and send it out tonight.

If this one's too racy I can tone it down...

The Daily Show mentioned South Jersey as the gates of hell a couple days ago...and commented how spirits were down after the navy yard closed and the eagles lost to the saints. Maybe we can get an endorsement from TDS if we use "Gates Of Hell" Also maybe we could get them to do a story on us? I think a soccer fan club without a team might be up their alley.

In addition, when we get the team this could be a great marketing and promotion. Imagine the Philly team announced on TDS by Garber after a feature on the SoB where we wander drunkenly from youth soccer game to youth soccer game looking for a home that will accept our rowdy fandom. Maybe an interview with the DC fan group leaders where he talks about how violent and rabid the SoB are seen us use one of our own children as a soccer ball for a kickarround. Yes I know we aren't violent but it about the comedy TDS would take a shot at soccer and I figure this would be the least harmful way for them to do it.

He's actually a RBNY fan, maybe we'll run into him at the KC vs. NY game. Get a hold of him before that, you know, before he hates us.

Also, how on earth do you create these pics for submission, I don't even know where to begin. I am merely an english major, I supply the ideas, not the artwork

This is such a genius idea...I'm on it. I wrote a long message, but the closest I could get to contact information was the generic Comedy Central "contact us about our programming" form. I set it up real nice for them. Hopefully I'll hear something back soon.

I don't care being humiliated a bit if it gets our name and message out...and I've previously always wondered why someone would subject themselves to just that.

that's alright ... B76 came up with the jolly franklin idea, and i put pencil to paper. voila ... we have an identity.

if you have ideas, please, by all means, share them and i'll be more than willing to work with you (even though you're backing out of the casa league).

How about in a design similar to that of Scarf #2:

Sons of Ben (on the side with Philadelphia)

    and on the other side:

    New York Sucks

Ok, well one of my ideas which I sent to B76 and Flagler is to have one half of the city skyline above the tassels on each side so that when it's around your neck it completes the city skyline.

And actually, for the rest you could write Sons of Ben in the font you use, but have the 'o' in 'of' be the Jolly Franklin and have it centered at the neck, it'd look pretty badass

As for the reverse, I think we could go with an informal PHILLY!, or break it up like the chant PHIL-A-DEL-PHIA!

I'll just throw ideas out there, you use and discard and re-use later accordingly, I don't have any problem with the alternate logo, certainly much cuter, we can have a kid, and non-rabid female supporter scarf!

Side A: A tribute to Murder City with a bullet passing through
Side B: What could be Ben's only soccer quote. Along with his signature.
(Sorry, I don't have the "Sons of Ben" font)

Feel free to use the quote even if you pass on the design. ;)

I really think it's time we got moving on this "I like raspberries!" design. Not only will it show our love of both soccer and raspberries, it will also serve to teach local children the correct spelling of that oft-misspelled tasty fruit.

Maybe on the back have some sort of cool giant lightning bolt design going lengthwise...
