There are posts here and there talking about what our lineups will end up being. Personally, I feel with what we have right now, we probably will end up playing something like LA's system with two wingbacks.

    ---------------Mathis-------????????-------------

    --------Davis------------------------Williams

    ----------------------Paule---------------------

    --???????---------------------------------Akwari-

    --------------Petke-----------Jolley--------------

    ---------------------Balboa----------------------

    ---------------------Howard---------------------

We obviously have no depth up top. That would be immediately alleviated by getting a third striker in Alecko Eskandarian. Alecko though will not step in and produce though. He needs time. That is why wee need a second striker. Your guesses are as good as mine.

For the right wingback position, I think Akwari would be very capable to cover for Williams defensive woes. In other words, Akwari has a very limited offensive role. He has to solely focus on defense. There would be huge gaps out there if he didn't. For the left wingback position I am not sure who can play here. We need someone with similar abilities to Akwari defensively at least to cover for Brad.

I think this system could work. Right now the question mark is if Paule can handle the work in the middle. I don't know if he can, because that is a huge role. If we had an Eliot here, who can spray balls and handle the defensive work we would be fine. However, Paule is more offensive.

We'll see though, we can trust Bradley, as he is a superb coach.

Draft Ricky Lewis from Clemson and he can slide right into the left wing back spot. He can run, two-footed, but has played a lot at the LB spot.

Draft Know Cameron, 6-4, 210 forward from Michigan. He may not start right away, but he is a monster of target man.

Again, I can't contend to say I know anything about those players. I also have limited knowledge of the game compared to other posters on these boards. In looking at our current players, I really feel though that this lineup is probably the most balanced we can produce on the field.

I think it's WAY too early to predict what the starting line-up is going to be. If you tried to predict it now, most of the players would be named "Allocation", "Discovery", "Potential Trade" and "Draft Pick".

exactly,,,bradley is probably gonna pull the trigger on a move that will send one of our "core" players out, we have the draft,,plus we have FA slots open,,,,,way too early

Our biggest wholes, I think, are a good defensive midfielder as Paule is NOT GOOD PEOPLE, a central defender and someone to go along with Mathis.

    ...................Mathis..............New Player.........
    Davis.......................Williams..............New Player (or Ziadie)
    ......................New Player..........................
    Akwari........New Player.........Jolley..........Petke..

I'm just looking at what we might do with what we have, and where our weaknesses are.

If we sign Rivaldo I'm not going to a single game next year. I've had it with the over-the-hill, overpaid, "name" players from South America.

I sketched this out too but switched Akwari and Jolley. I like Jolley better outside if we go four in teh back. But as someone else said, many changes to come.
