ACtually, this is a bit classless. Unfortunantly, the victim here is a co-patriot of mine. The things argentine football fans resort to in order to get good results. http://members.lycos.co.uk/bolivianfootball/?page=text&id=180
Didn't "El Gato" Fernandes use to play for NE? Bet he misses those friendlier days. Even a road trip to Chicago would be preferable to that trip to Buenos Aires.
Some of you who are SEs may remember that, on a Swamp roadtrip a few years ago, a Metrodonkey fan broke a window on our bus as we were waiting to depart after a game and then tried to run off. Our bus driver was an off-duty DC cop. I think he caught the guy within 10 seconds - and we all got to watch through the windshield as our driver flew out of the bus, ran the guy down, tackled him, and held him down (screaming something about "I'm an off-duty cop, and that's my bus!") as he waited for security to arrive (which, it being NJ, took _forever_) Watching our driver run down that guy is still a favorite United roadtrip memory of mine. Great stuff.
What bus company was that? And what was that dudes name? We could definantly use him for future trips. That Argentine club is getting away with no punishment. Bastards....
That was when we were doing our buses through a person - who shall remain nameless - who also used to do United and the US National Team's bus transportation in DC. After he reneged on a deal with us, costing the SEs a lot of money, we stopped using him. Maybe we can find out the driver's name and hire him as our personal driver, though
Seriously, hiring an off duty cop would be the fastest solution to Barra Bravas security issues. Yeah security guards are supposed to protect, but those dudes are driven by the madness of DC fans.
