As bad as Chelsea are at the moment they can't hold a candle to the ECB.

England have slumped to 50-8 in the Windies which is an absolute f***ing disgrace. NOT a good day of sports for the English Chelsea fan (though at least we won the rugby).

    F**k the ECB.

Do such things exist? Really is there/was there a more dominant player that NO ONE liked?

Yankees fans will cheer for anyone anytime and I guarantee they'll be making excuses for him

Edit: I love watching the Franchise squirm, I really do. When Clemens and Pettite got caught that was outstanding, this is almost as good as Clemens, whats my next gift a Jeter and David Wells sex tape? And 8 years of failure, fantastic!

I couldn't care less what A-Rod did before he was a Yankee. Now if it came out that he did steroids while in a Yankee uniform, I'd be mad. What's angering me now is the Yankees haters rubbing it in.

I can't speak for all of us, but I'll admit that this is true for me.

I think I might end up becoming a photographer instead of a journo at this rate. I was at my school's basketball game last night and took a crapload of pics for my rag.

Great line in Jayson Stark's column on ESPN.com:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=3892788

I'm willing to bet right now that Alex Rodriguez will join that Cooperstown missing-persons list -- no matter how many home runs he hits, no matter how he chooses to spin Selena Roberts and David Epstein's impeccably reported story on SI.com.

So if that's true, think of where this sport almost certainly will find itself 15 years from now:

The all-time hits leader (Mr. Peter E. Rose) won't be in the Hall of Fame.

The all-time home run leader (assuming that's where A-Rod's highway leads him) won't be in the Hall of Fame.

The man who broke Hank Aaron's career record (Barry Bonds) won't be in the Hall. The man who broke Roger Maris' single-season record (Mark McGwire) won't be in the Hall.

The man who was once the winningest right-handed pitcher of the live-ball era (Roger Clemens) won't be in the Hall.

The man with the most 60-homer seasons in baseball history (Sammy Sosa) doesn't look like he's headed for the Hall, either.

disgraceful that MLB is still trying to sweep this under the rug

much like the cheating scandals which plauged some of the early period of the game might as well fess up to this one and put an asterik next to the 90s and early 00s and move on imo.
