One of the more entertaining Super Bowl's. Was going for the Cardinals just because they have had such a poor history, would have been great to see them win, but overall just enjoyed the game.

If it wasn't for Fitzgerald, I would have wanted nothing more but for them to continue to be poor like always.

I'm a sucker for the underdog. I'm also a fan of Wisenhunt and how he is building and running his team.

Well the impossible happened. I CAN hate the Steelers more than I ever thought possible. And of course they are celebrating in classy style.

And the Super Bowl was awesome for a neutral.

This was one of the best football games I've ever watched. Really a classic. Plus there's no way it could possibly cause me as much pain as last year's so it was really a win-win

    Moving it here.

I wonder if you can discuss anything while staying current, on topic, accurate and doing so lightly. I have my doubts.

And btw, Ill take 3 superbowls, one scandal that was unrelated to those victories, over 0-16 everyday.

I'm not in the mood for it as you're now doing this for the sake of holding a grudge. Fine by me to insult my city's sports teams, but don't be surprised when a response is given.

It wasn't meant as an insult, you know you were a lot easier to discuss things with before this uber-attitude came along. Fair points were there about do you agree with Zs contract, who's the goalie you want come playoff time, do you really agree with Iverson for Billups.

If I was trying to be nasty I would have simply started with 0-16, the Tigers are falling apart worse every year since their Series trip, and Chuancey's an all star and Denver is in 1st place, and the Cletics currently own the Pistons. Lighten up I was actually hoping for some sensible other sports duscussion

If you wanted a sensible discussion, it's best not to start it with this, "I wonder if you can discuss anything while staying current, on topic, accurate and doing so lightly. I have my doubts."

Well I started with one post, and you were certainly not accurate or current or light in your response to said post. you may not have gotten so upset, if you took the time to pull the stick out of your ass. ;)

You know what, enough of this before the board goes through its usual implosion. It'll go in circles.

Disclaimer: Don't care for the Tigers and the newspaper gig has been keeping me busy from watching other sports. And yes Iverson was a bad idea.

Nah, it was a good idea. Pistons weren't going to get out of the East this year with Iverson or with Billups, and at least with Iverson you open up some cap space next year. It was a good trade for both teams.

Pistons were in Eastern Conference finals last year no? The young guys were going to be even better, and a slight tweek instead of a chemistry implosion could have meant a lot. in terms of that cap space I really wonder who they expect to come to Detroit and make them better than they were with Billups.

Yes they were, but they got older, and the Cavs and Magic got significantly better, and Boston more or less stayed about the same. I just don't see them getting out of the East with Billups and considering his age and the age of Sheed and McDyess they need to do some retooling and Iverson's contract expiring gives them a lot of flexibility.

Same question, who is actually going to come to Detroit? Another thing that bothers me is Stuckey, if anything is a combo 2(a Wade-lite), he isn't going to be a great 1. In that regard Rip, not Chauncey was the one to go.

Basketball is great, played almost everyday of my life from the age of 12-18.

LBJ tonight 52 points 11 assists 10 rebounds. Astounding.
