I'm interested in joining either Barra Brava, La Norte,or the Screaming Eagles. Which one of these groups provide the best football atmosphere, huge supply of beer and have an abunadance of hot women??
hey chico13, when you join the barra brava via online, do you pickup you membership package at the game when you pay for it or is it mailed to you?
If you're at the game Saturday, stop by our tailgate and meet the gang, have a cold one or two on us and get your jersey. Oscar or myself will fill you in on the details. If you can't make the game PM me or send Oscar a message via the website and we'll make arrangements to get your goodies to you ASAP. Chico
If they can't make the game then their membership should be sacrificed! Can't make the game. What kind of DC United fan do you think you are! (I realize the irony of a Vermont fan saying this, but come on! If I was only 400 miles closer......)
hey i am going to the game. but just because you cant go to some of the games doesnt mean you like the dc united any less, you might have a job or something that might prohibit you from going. in my case im calling out sick!!
That's the spirit! DC United above work, above family, above everything! (Glad to see you joining the supporters club. They're awesome!)
I don't mean to be a party pooper, but can we address the original question? Which club should I join? I'm a simple man with simple needs. All I need is beer and women. Cheers!
Ask Chico to show some of the pictures from from last year. Given the priorities you've noted, I think that will make the decision very simple.
The SEs will have an information table and tailgate in lot 8 on Sat and every home game (South of the Soccer celebration area if coming from the metro, before if coming from lot 8). Look for the SE canopies. You can join the SEs via paypal, $15 for individuals/$25 basic family for the year (send payment to payments@screaming-eagles.com) or we take checks and cash at the info table or you can mail in to SCREAMING EAGLES PO Box 15878 Washington, DC 20003 Our tailgate is for SE members and their guests (members must show SE id and identify guests) and includes food and 2 non alcoholic drinks for a fee ($6 members/$7 non) and new this year, complimentary beer from a keg (unlimited trips until it's gone). We cannot accept tailgate payment onsite (we have a host of payment options, we'll send you an email with info once you're a member). If you have questions, gimme a shout at kim@screaming-eagles.com If you're looking to join and tailgate with us on Sat, joining via paypal ASAP is the best and most convenient way. K
Huh? I was borderline deciding on joining a supporter club. I usually make it to every game save a few here and there. Are you saying for $15 I get unlimited tailgate beer for the entire season? I don't think I can pass that up.
In a related note, can I buy seats for either the SE or BB sections without being a member? You have the best seats in the house and I could be bringing 5 or so newbies (even some euro-snobs!) who would love to sit nice and close. I have bought SE tickets for a WCQ and BB tickets for the El Salvador friendly without being a member of either group. I don't know if that is wrong, but can I get those seats for Saturday night?
I believe we'll have the same ticket booth as last year. From the tunnel at lot 8, walk towards the stadium and veer off to your right. You can buy individual game tickets or exchange tickets from other sections to STAND in 135. Barra members get a discount.
You can buy walk up tickets from the Barra ticket booth on game day. You just pay a couple dollars more if you're not a member. Talk to Oscar at the tailgate and we will make sure you and your friends are covered. Arrogance in regards to United is ok, but leave the snobbery... the Barra is about futbol, friendship, partying and raising hell. We have have the best melting pot of futbol fans around. But remember we support in the South American style. We jump, drum, chant and sing.
SE Nest tickets If you'd like to order single tickets in the Nest (sections 133-134 and a few rows of 132) for any of the matches, send an e-mail to tickets@screaming-eagles.com. The absolute deadline for doing this is 4 pm on the day before the game. Earlier is better, of course. All orders are acknowledged by return e-mail. Tickets ordered in advance are only $19 each, which is $3 off the face value, and can be picked up at the SE ticket booth. Members of the Screaming Eagles have two payment options: in advance via credit card or cash at the window. Non-members have only one option: credit card in advance. There's no price difference for members and non. If the decision to buy tickets is made at the last minute, come to the SE ticket booth on game day (located in lot 5, gate B). The game day price is $22, but only the Screaming Eagles can sell you a seat in the Nest. Game day sales are cash and carry. If you have a half-season plan and want to switch tickets for a game that's not in your plan, you can do that at the SE ticket booth. It's good if you send an e-mail in advance, but not absolutely necessary. Full and half season plans are still available in the Nest. Full (18 games) $270 Half (9 games) $144 K
I have sat there for a few matches and thoroughly enjoy it. I hope you keep up the drum circle at halftime. I was joking about the snobbery bit. My friends will be more than happy to join you for a pint or three and enjoy the match. Are they still going to serve only Bud?
Bite your tongue young man, La Barra has NEVER had Bud at our tailgates. and btw, if 135 is to rowdy for you be sure and ask for tickets in 136 if you want to sit and take in the game without the usual rowdiness of 135.
I didn't state that clearly enough. I meant does RFK only serve Bud. I should have been more specific. Sorry for the confusion. Oh, and the rowdier the better.
Did you say rowdy? Well singing, jumping, throwing confetti and streamers, banging the biggest drum on RFK and going insane over United is all La Norte.
Hey if you're tasting the beer, you're not drinking. So why not go with the drink that sponsors Major League Soccer. http://www.mlsnet.com/partners.html I think RFK serves microbrew Foggy Bottom on tap-look for it on the lower concourse.
