I wonder if you've won enough? If you were to buy a new team the francise fee is what, 20 mil? If you do want to build a stadium like the Crew's, 50-60 mil. Plus operating losses for the next 5 years = ? If you win 140 mil then after taxes you end up getting around 70. Not enough in my book You can be a partner tho- It might be cheaper just to buy Fiorentina.

$140M and you buy a team that will suck all of that out of you in 2 years? I feel sorry for the people who depend on you for food. I wouldve bought a masion, a new Escalade, and maybe even a private jet.
I'd start my own Metro fan club and take a couple bus loads of fans from Wilkes-Barre and Scranton to every home match and maybe go to DC and Columbus. One family friendly bus, and one for the rowdy people lookin to party. It would cost around $3000 a match.
Assuming after taxes I would get 105 million (75%)... I'd bank 3/4 (78.75 mil) of it and buy an MLS team in 15-20 years with the interest alone (approx. 35 (or more) mil after 15 years @ 3% per year---pending inflation/MLS' worth/interest rates). I'd waste the other 1/4 on a luxerious lifestyle (27 mil). That leaves me with 78.75 million dollars that I would have left over to finance a (very cheap) stadium (unless helped by public funding) if the team didn't already have one. But I don't think it'd cover losing money which hopefully in 15-20 years won't be happening in MLS because if it continues the way it is now the league probably wouldn't be around.

This is the most intelligent, astute thing I've ever seen posted on BigSoccer. Furthermore, you'd make a hell of a lot more money. If I won, I'd buy Fiorentina and bring over some of dem dere young WC players, like DMB (is Jamar still in Italy somewhere?).
Jamar is one of the few bright spots on an Indiana Blast team that has won just one game. If you don't mind, we'd like to keep him for now.
So once you spend 30 million to buy them and 100 million to build a stadium what are you gonna use to actually keep them afloat???
