Not a transfer but the lack of TAA extension annoys me

imo it's not a concern right now given that he's away with England - same reason why there's no big transfer news at all (any leagues) right now - plus there's been a lot of changes behind the scenes at the club.

but as soon as he's back to (real) work, it 100% needs to get settled. fast.

Wouldn't worry about it too much, we were sat here 12 months ago in the same situation with Mo.

I very much doubt the club would let him walk away for nothing and I don't think that's what Trent would want either.

Liverpool are in advanced negotiations to finally bring midfielder Andre Trindade to Anfield.

One more player mentioned as a potential Liverpool target has been England and Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze.

Liverpool are interested in signing Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig. The Spaniard has a £50m release clause woven into his contract.

Arne Slot wants Liverpool to sign Andriy Lunin from Real Madrid with Alisson’s future at Anfield in doubt, according to reports.

Athletic Bilbao president Jon Uriarte has slammed questions over Nico Williams' future with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea linked with a summer move for the Spain international.

Joao Palhinha's move from Fulham to Bayern Munich could open the door for Liverpool-linked Joshua Kimmich to leave the club this summer.

Intermediaries have reportedly approached Arsenal and Liverpool to coax them to pursue the signature of 23-year-old Napoli attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer.

Olmo's never impressed me much tbh - from what little I've seen - but in Spain's last game he seemed to be playing the false 9 role and doing a peak-Firmino job at it.

anyone paid attention to him? thoughts?

All I know is he's looked good for Spain this tourney. Have never watched him close or been blown away by anything I've seen of him before now.

For Olmo - so is everyone else, probably - but, yes please!
KH Kv is great - but a team with Luis Diaz does not need him...

Marc Guehi is wanted by Liverpool, who have begun negotiations to sign the 24-year-old Crystal Palace and England centre-back.

.... that's from Romano, to be clear.

Liverpool have made Sporting Lisbon and Portugal centre-back Goncalo Inacio, 22, a priority transfer target.

I'm sure Guehi is good, but yes they should get someone from the continent. No reason to pay what he will cost.

Slot appears to have taken Liverpool’s summer transfer plans into his own hands by initiating talks with Teun Koopmeiners, while the Reds are also in the frame to land experienced France international Adrien Rabiot.

Mohamed Simakan is attracting transfer interest from Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, it is claimed.

According to Sport Bild, the Reds are targeting moves for Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich, Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong and Borussia Dortmund's Donyell Malen.

Not at all. He's been handed the plans and asked to read them.

Of course he has. He’s only in the door 6 weeks but already he has made Hughes and Edwards superfluous to any and all discussions. So much so, that if John Henry & Co. don’t get rid of those 2 clowns, Slot is going to replace the whole of FSG and dissolve John Henry’s marriage. Because as Liverpool coach he has those civil powers.

With a bit of fortitude, some determination and a solid work ethic, it’s amazing what you can accomplish in 42 days.

He says he also intends rewriting most of the laws of physics.

To be fair, some of those are badly outdated...

6 weeks is a long time in football.

tbh though I'm having a hard time believing all that. surely he'd start by re-growing a full head of hair?

    Pearce:
“Liverpool are considering defensive options after the free-agent departure of long-serving Joel Matip. As well as a centre-back, a holding midfielder and an attacking wide player have also been discussed. However, considering they have a youthful squad that’s packed with potential, this was never going to be a busy summer in terms of incomings,” James Pearce reported for The Athletic.

“Much depends on who steps up during pre-season and what gaps still need to be filled as Slot assesses the squad he inherited.”

Yeah , I think so too. Slot will want to get a look up close at what he's got in the squad. We do have some really good talents coming thru which we don't want to potentially block with a new signing which might not be needed.

Bajcetic might be able to step into the holding role or perhaps even Morton. I think at least one cb is going to be the most urgent need given VVD's age , Konates tendency to miss games re injury and the need to back fill for Matip.

Other than that we may well stand pat and see how we shape up and move in Jan if necessary.

Sorry folks - Trent is gone. Either for a negotiated release clause (as rumored Macca had) or for free.

Maybe Slot changes his mind, but I doubt it. I think he’s already made his mind up.
