I woke up today wanting a bright shiny Ricardo Clark under my computer, even more than that sexy Escandarian!

I know Hudson doesn't want Reyes in midfield, but i just love the lineup:

    ----------------------Rimando
    ----------Petke-------Nelsen----Ivanov
    ---------------------Clark
    /OlsenReyes-----Etch/Dema----Reyes/Olsen
    -------------------Convey
    ----Stewart----------------Q1/Q2/Curtis/whomever

i like the 3-5-2, but i would rather see it this way:

    rimando
    reyes - ivanov - petke
    nelsen
    clark - etcheverry
    kovalenko - convey - olsen
    stewart - q1

i think that would put our best 11 on the field and would certainly allow dia-blow and convey freedom to do almost as they please.

    Isn't that 12 players?

    I think Ursula is right.

However, I still think DC needs a polished striker, a finisher.

Ursula or someone who knows--how does Clark compare to Kelly Gray last year? Gray seemed to be able to play right away, can Clark?

Picture Kelly Gray with a little bit more upside. Clark will be able to contribute right away, plugging holes in every part of midfield. The only drawback to Gray is that he's been moved around the field so much throughout his youth career, that he's good at every position, but not really great at any one inparticular. Clark is predominantly a holding mid who can also play wide.
