The new Spalding Infusion MISL Match Ball is supposed to be unveiled this month and is supposed to be available at retail. Anyone know when or where? I'd like to get one.

Forget that. It'll be like the Nike Chrome Scorpion I bought my kid this summer - the one they play with in the "cage" commercials.

If you took your eye off it for 5 seconds, somebody was making off with the damn thing. I stopped some guys carrying it through the parking lot at a High School scrimmage. Ten steps from their car, they had to figure they were hme free.

So skip the red thing; I'll make you a great deal on my mint condition US Futsal regulation ball.

NOBODY will ever try to make off with it.

(Speaking of which, Eric Wynalda (called a "Power Forward" in the press release) was supposed to be the star of Spalding's ad campaign. Anybody ever actually SEE any ads?

    Yes, I've seen the ad.

And you might be right about the rocket red. Until it gets to be ubiquitous like red white and blue ABA basketballs.

I'd only use it in indoor games that I play in. And make sure to get it back at the end.

Hopefully it's not like $75 or some ridiculous thing.

I have an XFL ball, too. Wal-Mart sold 'em. Wonder how many they were stuck with. :)

Back in the 80s, my prize possession was a rocket red Adidas Tango(!)

I used that thing all the time, and had to be constantly on the watch for someone taking it. Those things ran about $80 a pop.

It finally died on me. I'd love to find another.

The original MISL balls (AMF? I don't remember) were bricks. Worse than Brines.

I have two size four Brines autographed by the 1997 Indiana Twisters! And Brine even sent us some mini-balls (I think they'd be size 3? or 2? they're about the size of a softball), and I have one of those.

Are these Rocket Reds size four, anyone know?

I've caught a ball or two that made their way into the empty stands at Kixx games. They are size 5s.

Ah. No interest then. We use a size four in my indoor league. Can't believe they use a 5 in the MISL. We used a 4 in the CISL.

I'm sure size 4s are available.

We always used size 5s around here, for what little it is worth.

I still have my Rockets Red from the original MISL in the mid-1980s and it still holds air!!! I also have a replica CISL Brine ball that is a size five. I always found it interesting that the CISL used a size 4 but all the replica balls were size 5.

Well, one reason might be that you can get more signatures on a Size 5 than on a Size 4.
