I think I just had an anxiety attack. [R] Well there I was driving home on the 405 after a late night excursion to the Marina Del Rey Home Depot (a great late night spot, by the way - open till midnight) when it suddenly hit me. Oh no. Oh no. LA is going to play in the MLS Cup. What if they win? Oh no. And that's when it happened. It felt like everything was closing in on me. WHAT IF LA WINS!? I don't think I can deal with that! This is why the MetroStars are so much easier to deal with. Everyone knows they'll never win anything. But LA! LA is actually good. They could win. OH NO!! OH NO! ... I think I need professional help.
So much for watching the game on tape. I was trying to figure out why u had the R there. Curiosity killed this cat. Well, my cousin just told me the news so regardless, I was going to find out the results.
But the 2003 season hasn't started yet. Why are teams still playing? Don't they know that the 2002 season is over?
I wouldn't worry too much, MLS Cup is in Foxboro. Where, as I recall, LA is 0-2 in MLS Cup play. Of course, that was back when MLS Cup was also known as the DC United Invitational.
I feel the same anxiety, but I am extremely optimistic that LA will choke again. I have a strong feeling that NE will play in their home stadium for the final, and will complete their fairy tale run to win the cup. I would MUCH, MUCH rather see NE win it all. Their fans deserve it. Plus, LA would still be big MLS Cup Losers.
Now I know why people don't understand me when I make intuitive leaps in logic. I assume Home Depot made you think of the LA Galaxy because of the HD National Training Center?
The Galaxy are the Buffalo Bills of MLS. Do worry my West Coast Brethern, the Gals are sure to choke. TS.
