I need a green card.

    Has anyone heard anything about Ronnie O getting his greencard. I heard that he applied, but noghting else after that. Wow would that not be great, RO running up and down the line for the US nats! :)

    A "green card" only means you are considered a "permanent resident" of the US. It is not the same as citizenship, and I believe you have to apply for and be granted citizenship in order to play for the national team.

    Some people do not have to wait as long due to their parent's status, age, spouse, etc. Sometimes (pre 9/11/01) the process can be "expedited" or even a special act of Congress. Almost impossible post 9/11.

    David Regis through his American wife,
    Thomas Dooley had an American father,
