So i was trolling San Jose's board and they had a thread about all of them coming down here for opening day and rallying their group of tards to a victory over us, and it was then i realized that the rivalry...the real rivalry....is back. And i had to stir, poke, prod, and add gasoline to the fire, by starting a "welcome back" thread for them on their board from LA. I can't wait to see their responses so if you'd like to add some more fuel to the flame mozy on down to the smurf's board and have some fun

maybe the mods moved it to the rivalry boards ... it was moved to the rivalry boards as the posters on the smurfs board found it too offensive for their liking.
I just can't hate these guys, sorry. They are gonna suck, and they are an upstart. I hate the Dynamo. I also hate the Goats. But the Dynamo take the cake as most hateable. They are the San Antonio Spurs of MLS, the more boring they play, the more they win. Sickening. And they are the REAL Quakes.
The smurfs would rather debate the merits of communism (which happens to almost every thread on their board) or who is going to win American Idol amongst themselves than discuss anything related to soccer.

IT's the NO-CAL vs SO-CAL mentality. Up here they constantly chant "Beat LA". It's a pure case of geographical penis envy. Dodgers - Giants Angels - A's Kings - Sharks Lakers - Warriors Lakers - Kings Galaxy - Quakes It will never end, nor should it.

idk anything about a no-cal so-cal rivalry (im from st.louis) but i do know about the st.louis chicago rivalry cardinals-cubs rams-bears blues-blackhawks our eventual MLS team-fire so if its anything like that ill completely understand and american idol is gay

And apparently, they do care about it, while most people from LA don't know about it or care about it once they do know. Perhaps it's because SF used to be larger and more important, and now....... my favorite thread on the sanho's board was the Why San Jose is cool thread.... they're trying to convince themselves....

There is no Nor-Cal v. So-Cal rivalry. I was actually shocked when I heard about this. Went to visit my brother in law in the Sacramento area, and a bunch of people had large, "Nor-Cal" stickers on their overly lifted trucks. I asked why, and he told me it was because of the North/South rivalry. I think there is more of a rivalry betweenh OC and LA than there is between Nor-Cal and So-Cal. But of there"has" to be a rivalry, the one that gets Modesto loses on principal.
