Yes Nike's do suck major ass (and this coming from a damn shareholder). I am a big believer in Asics and New Balance's. They may not be flashy and gaudy like Nike's but I have not heard one bad thing about them in any shoe reviews in Runner's World magazine.

One cool thing about NB is that if you go to www.NewBalance.com you can find out what shoe(s) are best for you. They ask you a series of questions on your running style and it picks out shoes for you based on your responses.

 

I actually like the Nike's I have currently. I wore adidas for a long time, but I needed more heel support, so I tried a pair of Air P 9000s. They're heavenly. My feet don't hurt at all anymore.

The only downside is, when I don't wear thick enough socks the shoe pinches my toes. Not a lot, but enough for me to notice.

I agree with Fear. Go with New Balance, unless you can find another shoe that feels better.

a good brand of shoes is asics... they are AWESOME.. especially if you have 2 bum knees like myself... they aren't too expensive either, mine were only like $100 canadian, so in the US they'd be about $60.... great shoes... and i want a usa warmup jacket

Nah, really - I was in Orlando after thanksgiving and they had a huge Nike store at one of the malls there. I bought the uswnt warmup suit - jacket & pants - for 19.99 each and the natl team jersey & shorts (w/ logos) for 9.99 each.

Any female soccer players will agree with me that the natl team shorts are the greatest but i think eurosport quit selling them (nike's probably creating a new style) so when i saw all the colors at the Nike store for 9.99 each (i was willing to pay $25) I bought every pair I didnt already have.

My advise: visit Orlando.

 

Yes The national team shorts are God's gift to soccer players. Ok so many it is a Goddess gift to soccer players same differenace.
